Appeal to Board. If the grievance is not resolved satisfactorily at Step 2, the grievant may appeal within ten (10) days in writing to the Board of Trustees. If the appeal is received not later than 12:00 Noon of the Tuesday preceding the date of a regularly scheduled meeting, the grievant and/or representative may present their case to the Board of Trustees in open and/or in closed session.
Appeal to Board. If the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance in Step 3, or if no disposition has been made within five (5) working days of such meeting (or ten work days from the date of filing, whichever shall be later), the grievance shall be transmitted to the Board by filing a written copy thereof. Such transmission to the Board shall occur not later than fifteen (15) working days after the date of filing in Step 3. The Board no later than its next meeting or within ten (10) work days, whichever shall be later, shall meet with the Association on the grievance. The Board shall provide the Association with a written disposition of the grievance within seven (7) working days of this meeting.
Appeal to Board. If the grievance is not settled in Step 3, it may be referred in writing by the member or the Association within fifteen (15) calendar days after the receipt of the answer in Step 3 to the Board for possible review. Should the Board decide to hear the grievance, the member, at his or her discretion, xxx also present the grievance orally at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting. A representative of the Association will be given the opportunity to be present at such meeting and, if requested by the member, may represent the member at the meeting. After the receipt of the written grievance, the Board shall give the grievant its answer within thirty (30) calendar days after the next regularly scheduled Board meeting.
Appeal to Board. In the event the aggrieved party is not satisfied with the determination by the Department Head, the complainant or the Officers may serve a copy of the original complaint upon the Board of Fire Commissioners within five (5) days of the decision of the Department Head.
Appeal to Board. Within fifteen (15) working days after receiving the decision of the Superintendent, an appeal of the decision may be made to the Board. It shall be in writing and accompanied by a copy of the decision in Step 2.
Appeal to Board. If the grievance is not resolved to the satisfaction of the aggrieved member after Levels 1 and 2, a written appeal in the same form as provided in Level 2 may be made directly to the School Board for consideration and action. Such an appeal must be made in writing within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the joint decision under Level 2. The appeal shall be heard by the Board no later than its next regularly scheduled Board meeting and the Board's written decision on the grievance shall be provided to the member, with a copy to the Association, no later than ten (10) working days after said meeting.
Appeal to Board. All decisions of the Director are appealable to the Board. An aggrieved party desiring to take such an appeal must, within thirty (30) days after notice of the Director’s decision, file with the Director a written notice of appeal setting forth the basis for the appeal. (3-18-22)
