Appeals Committee. An Appeals Committee is xxxxxx established, composed of one member appointed by the Union, one member appointed by the Employer or the Association, as the case may be, and a Public Member appointed by both these members.

Appeals Committee. When an Appeals Committee is required, it shall be struck no more than fifteen days after the deadlines specified in Article 18.8.2 for submitting a notice of appeal. Appeals arising out of career-progress decisions that take effect on July 1st normally shall be heard by an Appeals Committee convened as soon as possible after September 1st. Appeals arising out of a decision denying tenure (regardless of whether it is the final year of probation) or renewal of a tenure-track appointment normally shall be heard by an Appeals Committee that is convened and reports its recommendations before June 30th. The Appeals Committee shall consist of three members who now hold, or have held, academic rank with tenure. The University and the Faculty Association shall each appoint one member. The Chair shall be selected by agreement between the University and the Faculty Association. If a Chair cannot be selected in this manner, the Vice-President (Academic) shall name the Chair. On behalf of the Appeals Committee Chair, Human Resources shall inform each appellant in writing of the names of the Committee members. The appellant shall have five days from receipt of notice to identify any Committee members having a conflict of interest. The appellant may request substitutes for any Committee members identified as being in a conflict of interest. Substitutions shall be made only upon the member’s written request and only for that xxxxxxxxx’s hearing. In its letter describing the composition of the Appeals Committee, Human Resources shall inform the appellant of the conditions and deadline for requesting substitutes. Any substitutes shall be named by the party that named the original Committee member, except if the member in question is the Committee Chair, in which case the University and the Faculty Association shall agree on a substitute Chair.
Appeals Committee. 4.3.1 In the case of offences which make it possible to cancel an agreement as described in Article 3 above and/or to impose a suspension as referred to in Article 2.2 and/or in respect of a fine in a sum of NIS 40,000 or more that was imposed, the player will have a right of appeal against the disciplinary committee's decision; the appeal must be lodged within three days from the date on which the disciplinary committee's decision was given and the lodging thereof shall not delay execution of the sanction that was imposed (unless otherwise expressly stated). 4.3.2 The appeals committee shall convene within 24 hours from the lodgement of the appeal and it shall be comprised of a representative of the Players Union and of a representative who will be appointed by the professional clubs (or clubs of the women's league, where what are involved are female players). The committee shall be comprised of only two representatives and it will not be empowered to hold a hearing where there is less than a full composition; the committee shall, in its discretion, prescribe the procedures for the conduct of the hearing. 4.3.3 Where there is a difference of opinion between the members of the appeals committee the dispute shall be referred to an arbitrator - who is conversant with the field of sport and is familiar with labor laws - who shall be agreed in advance between the members of the appeals committee - and his decision will be final and binding. 4.3.4 The appeals committee shall be empowered to discuss and decide, in the event of a dispute relating to an interpretation of these Regulations, upon an application by a player or club or Players Union or the League Administration.

The Appeals Committee shall preside over all appeals related to disciplinary and adverse action determinations in accordance with the Exchange Rules. If the Independent Director recuses himself or herself from an appeal, due to a conflict of interest or otherwise, such Independent Director may be temporarily replaced by a Non-Industry Director for purposes of the applicable appeal if there is no other Independent Director able to serve as the replacement.

The Joint Job Evaluation Appeals Committee shall attempt to reach consensus. Where consensus is reached the decision shall be final and binding. Where consensus is not reached, a formal vote will be conducted. Resource persons are not eligible to vote. If vote is tied, then the case shall be directed to either the Joint Job Evaluation Steering Committee or a Labour/Management meeting.

Appeals Committee. The Appeals Committee shall consist of three members who now hold, or have held, academic rank with a permanent appointment one appointed by the Faculty Association, one appointed by the University and a Chair agreed upon by the University and the Faculty Association. A mutually agreed upon Xxxxx shall also attend the appeal and give guidance to the Appeals Committee as a neutral adviser. In the event a Chair cannot be selected in this manner, the University President shall name the Chair.
