Apprentice Selection. The first apprentice after the core group and every second one thereafter recruited for each job shall be selected by the Union. The second apprentice after the core group and every second apprentice thereafter recruited for each job shall be selected by the employer.
Apprentice Selection. (a) A C.A.T.V. Training Program Committee shall be established. It shall include a representative of Local 213 of the I.B.E.W. The Committee shall be composed of equal representation from the Employer and the Employer’s Technical Employees.
(b) Consistent with its management rights, the selection and determination of apprenticeships shall be the sole discretion of the Employer.

Apprentice Selection. Selection to any apprenticeship program will be determined by a Union appointed and Management appointed Apprentice Selection Committee. The Apprentice Selection Committee will consist of two Union members from the applicable business unit and two management personnel. The selection criteria and weighting percentages will be determined by the trade specific committee using the following factors: trade courses, trades related experience, physical ability, attitude, adaptability, education and seniority. The seniority factor will be set at 25% and prorated. The minimum education requirement for applicants is academic English 12, Math 11, and Physics 11 plus post-secondary pre- apprentice schooling or the FortisBC Pre-apprentice PLT Program. The Union/Company Apprentice Selection Committee shall utilize a 60% passing level as a minimum entrance standard to the apprentice program.
Apprentice Selection. All apprentices shall enter the program through the JATC, or its subcommittee, as per the properly registered apprenticeship standards and selection procedures.
Apprentice Selection. The Company and Joint Apprenticeship Committee recognize the importance of a consistent and unbiased selection process. The purpose of this selection process is to select the most suitable candidate to be indentured into a trade. The following criteria will be used on a point system to assess the skills of the Employees. Revisions to the selection process are only to be made through unanimous vote of the Committee. Applicants who meet the mandatory requirements of the pre-apprenticeship exam (A) will enter the interview and appraisal process.
