No Discipline. No employee shall be reprimanded or disciplined for refusing to perform an assigned work task where the refusal is based on a reasonable apprehension of danger for the employee’s personal safety: Part II of the Canada Labour Code and the Canada Occupational Safety and Health Regulations shall apply.
No Discipline. No employee shall be disciplined for refusal to work on a job or to operate any equipment that is unsafe. Such job or equipment is not to be reassigned until the Occupational Health Committee is satisfied with safety modifications.

The Committee shall promptly investigate each refusal and, if it is able to make a decision on whether such refusal was warranted. If such action was warranted, the Committee will notify the employer of any unsafe condition(s), and the employer will undertake suitable corrective measures, and report in writing to the Committee of action he has taken. If such action was not warranted, the Committee will meet with the workers affected, and report to them the reasons for its decision.

Notwithstanding the statutory right of employees to refuse dangerous work, employees shall also have the right to refuse to accompany clients to their marital home.

No Discipline. No Employee or Owner Operator shall be disciplined for acting in compliance with the Canada Labour Code and its regulations. An Employee or Owner Operator may exercise his/her right to refuse unsafe work in accordance with applicable legislation. There shall be no loss of pay during the period of refusal provided that the individual performs other duties within his job classification as directed by the Company if such work is available.
No Discipline. No employee shall be disciplined for bringing to the attention of the Executive Director or Board the conduct of a resident who that employee feels may be a threat to the health and safety of staff or other residents.
No Discipline. No member will be subject to discipline including reprimand, suspension, demotion or removal for failure to meet minimum fitness standards.
No Discipline. The Employer shall not dismiss or lay off an employee solely because he or she has applied for Maternity, Paternity or Adoption Leave in accordance with this Article.
