Asbestos Materials. Some areas of University Housing have asbestos containing materials present. A licensed asbestos abatement team manages these materials. Residents should use caution to not disturb any sprayed-on ceiling materials. Any questions concerning asbestos materials, locations and hazards should be referred to the Housing Facilities Office at (000) 000-0000 or the Asbestos Abatement Program liaison at (000) 000-0000 for further clarification.
Asbestos Materials. Employees required to wear protective equipment (i.e. combination overalls and breathing equipment or similar apparatus) as part of the necessary safeguards required by the appropriate occupational health authority for the use of materials containing asbestos or to work in close proximity to employees using such materials will be paid an allowance in accordance with Clause A2 – Allowance table whilst wearing such equipment.

Employees required to use materials containing asbestos or to work in close proximity to employees using such materials shall be provided with and shall use all necessary safeguards as required by the appropriate Occupational Health Authority and where such safeguards include the mandatory wearing of protective equipment (i.e. combination overalls and breathing equipment or similar apparatus) such employee shall be paid 63 cents per hour extra whilst so engaged.
Asbestos Materials. The use and uncontrolled release of asbestos products, in particular amosite (brown) and crocidolite (blue), is not permitted at the venues. Dubai Municipality technical guidelines apply with regards to the use of this product. Asbestos products must not be brought into the venues without the prior permission of the Dubai World Trade Centre Health and Safety Team and any relevant government bodies. Contractors involved in the removal or treating of asbestos products must be suitably protected from harm and it shall be the responsibility of the employer to ensure that measures are in place to provide sufficient protection. Occupational exposure levels in the form of threshold limit values and biological exposure indices must not be exceeded. Work with asbestos must only be carried out by approved specialist contractors with a corresponding Risk Assessment and Method Statement.

Asbestos Materials. SSI shall not supply or use asbestos or materials or equipment containing asbestos in the provision of the Co-branded Products. All Co-branded Products supplied which contain or are manufactured using ozone depleting substances (as defined by the Montreal Protocol) shall, be clearly and securely, labeled by SSI as follows:

This additional rate will be regarded as part of the wage for all purposes. An employee handling hot bitumen or asphalt or dipping materials in creosote will be paid 62 cents per hour extra. An employee engaged in cutting tiles by electric saw will be paid 59 cents per hour whilst so engaged.
(a) An employee working on a chimney stack, spire, tower, radio or television mast or tower, air shaft (other than above ground in a multi-storey building), cooling tower, water tower or silo, where the construction exceeds fifteen metres in height will be paid for all work above fifteen metres 48 cents per hour, additional for work above each further fifteen metres.
(b) Any similarly constructed building, or a building not covered by 44.4(b), which exceeds fifteen metres in height may be covered by this clause, or by 44.4 by agreement or where no agreement is reached, by determination of the Commission in accordance with the Disputes Resolution Procedure.
Asbestos Materials. The Tenant covenants with the Landlord to:-
3.34.1 prepare an asbestos register within three months of commencement of this Lease and to maintain such asbestos register throughout the Terms
3.34.2 carry out risk assessments every twelve months to monitor the condition of any asbestos materials and forthwith prior to any refurbishment work at the Property
3.34.3 provide copies of the asbestos register and any asbestos surveys to the Landlord upon request
3.34.4 carry out any necessary asbestos remedial or removal work to ensure that the Property is compliant at all times with the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002
3.34.5 indemnify the Landlord against any liabilities, costs, expenses, losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Landlord arising from any breach by the Tenant of covenants 3.34.1 to 3.34.4 above
Asbestos Materials. The contractor shall perform all work in compliance with Federal, State and local laws, statutes, rules, regulations and ordinances, including but not limited to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)'s asbestos requirements, 40 CFR Part 61, Subpart M, and OSHA Section 29 CFR 1926.58. Additionally, the contractor shall be properly licensed and/or certified for asbestos removal as required under Federal, State and local laws, statutes, rules, regulations and ordinances. The County shall be responsible for filing all DEP notifications and furnish a copy of the DEP notification and approval for demolition to the successful contractor. The County will furnish a copy of the asbestos survey to the successful bidder. The contractor must keep this copy on site at all times during the actual demolition.
