Association Representative Leave. The Board may grant one (1) teacher, designated by the Association, a leave of absence (without pay) for one (1) year for the purpose of engaging in Association activities at the State or National level.

Association Representative Leave. A designated Association representative shall be entitled to ten (10) days of leave with pay for one (1) school year in order to attend local, state, or national conferences or other Association business. Five (5) additional days will be granted under the above conditions, provided that the Association pays all costs associated with substitutes. Five (5) days advance approval from the Superintendent is required. When advance approval is requested by the Association, the designated representative shall submit a written description of the activity. Such leave should be taken in full day increments, to the extent possible.
Association Representative Leave. The president of the PGTA or their designee shall be entitled to a reasonable number of days of released time for conducting business pertinent to unit affairs. Requests to Human Resources shall be made as far in advance as possible.

  • Association Representatives Authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact Association business on and with school property at all reasonable times provided that such activities shall not interfere with normal school operations.

  • Union Representative Upon mutual agreement of the parties, the number may be altered from time to time. Where a Union Representative commences on an extended leave of absence, the Union will endeavour to find a temporary replacement for the Union Representative from within the Home.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.

  • Designated Representative Except as provided in Section 2.4 of this Agreement, in the event that a Member is unable to make decisions, Company or Company Contractors will attempt to contact the Member’s Designated Representative for the purposes of making decisions on behalf of Member in regards to any items or services set forth in this Agreement. The Designated Representative is the person or persons identified to Company by the Member during enrollment or after as the primary person who will be making decisions on behalf of the Member in the event the Member becomes incapacitated.

  • Association Leave The Association shall be allowed to use up to 5 days of leave each school year for use by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association. The Association shall reimburse Unified School District 434 for the loss of use of the teacher taking such leave by paying the daily cost of a substitute teacher. The Association shall notify the Superintendent not less than 5 calendar days in advance of using such leave.

  • List of Union Representatives The Union agrees to provide and maintain an up-to-date list of all Union Representatives (including Union Stewards, Union Executive, Grievance Committee, Labour/Management Committee and Negotiating Committee) to the Director of Human Resources or designate.

  • Association Representation The unit member grievant shall be entitled, upon request, to representation by the Association at all grievance meetings. In situations where the Association has not been invited to represent the unit member, the District shall not agree to a final resolution of the grievance until the Association has received a copy of the grievance and the proposed settlement and has been given the opportunity to file a response to the matter.

  • Right to Have Union Representative Present (a) An employee shall have the right to have her xxxxxxx present at any discussion with supervisory personnel which the employee believes might be the basis of disciplinary action. Where a supervisor intends to interview an employee for disciplinary purposes, the supervisor shall make every effort to notify the employee in advance of the purpose of the interview in order that the employee may contact his/her xxxxxxx, providing that this does not result in an undue delay of the appropriate action being taken. This Article shall not apply to those discussions that are of an operational nature. (b) A xxxxxxx shall have the right to consult with a Staff Representative of the Union and to have a local Union Representative present at any discussion with supervisory personnel which the xxxxxxx believes might be the basis of disciplinary action against the xxxxxxx, providing that this does not result in an undue delay of the appropriate action being taken.

  • Staff Representatives A. The Union will provide the Employer with a written list of staff representatives and the bargaining unit for which they are responsible. The Union will provide written notice to the Employer of any changes within thirty (30) calendar days of the changes. B. Staff representatives may have access to the Employer’s offices or facilities to carry out representational activities. The representatives will notify the Employer prior to their arrival and will not interrupt the normal operations of the Employer. The staff representative may meet with bargaining unit employees in non-work areas during the employee’s meal periods, rest periods, and before and after the employee’s shift. C. The Employer’s written Board of Trustee or administrative policies pertaining to employees represented by the Union will be made available to staff representatives.
