National Conferences. Employees who are elected to represent their local Union in special, state or national conferences shall be allowed time without loss of pay to attend such conferences, not to exceed five (5) days in any fiscal year, upon written request by the Union, and with prior approval of the Sheriff or his designee, further provided that such employees number no more than one (1) at any given time.
National Conferences. Recognizing the need for the continued professional growth of Administrators, the Board agrees to pay expenses for attendance at national or major conventions approved by the Superintendent of Schools. Typical expenses would include transportation, room, meals, and registration fees subject to the travel regulations imposed by the State Department of Education. Arrangements for the attendance must be made in advance with the Superintendent of Schools.
National Conferences. All members of the Association shall be eligible to attend one national conference per year, as recommended by the Superintendent and approved by the Board of Education.
National Conferences. Each administrator may attend one National Conference every other year with expenses for transportation, lodging, and meals reimbursed up to eight hundred dollars ($800.00). Registration for the conference will be reimbursed in full. In the event that more than half of the administrators wish to attend the same National Conference, the Superintendent will give first consideration to those who have not attended a National Conference for the longest period of time. (A moratorium is in place for any conference attendance that cannot be paid out of grant monies, subject to annual review.)
National Conferences. Principals may attend a National Conference every other year. The School District shall pay all legally valid expenses and fees for the Principal’s attendance at said conference, including but not limited to, travel, lodging, food, registration fees, etc. A Principal must receive written approval from the Superintendent prior to registering.

National Conferences. SNA will provide the following conference opportunities for Affiliate leaders: Meetings for Affiliate Presidents and Presidents-Elect at the SNA Annual National Conference (“ANC”) and Legislative Action Conference (“LAC”). State Association Executives/Staff meetings at NLC, ANC and during the summer to offer paid state staff with an opportunity to connect, share and learn with each other and SNA staff; National Leadership Conference (“NLC”) for incoming state leaders to learn association management and leadership best practices and network with state and national leaders; Future Leaders Program, in conjunction with NLC, to prepare potential leaders to take a role in the Affiliate;
National Conferences. The School District shall pay all legally valid expenses and fees for attendance at professional conferences and meetings with other educational agencies when attendance thereof is required, directed, or permitted by the School District. Each principal and Activities Administrator shall have the option of attending a national education conference or convention once every three years based on the following rotation schedule: High School, Middle School, Elementary School. Normal expenses will be covered; however, the District must give the final approval for the specific convention or conference.
