Attendance Incentive (Sick Leave Cash Out. Any sick leave not taken shall accumulate from year to year unless the employee elects to be paid for some accumulated sick leave under the Attendance Incentive Program as provided by the following: (1) in January any eligible employee may exercise an option to receive remuneration for unused leave for illness or injury accumulated in the previous calendar year at a rate equal to one day’s monetary compensation of the employee for each four (4) full days of accrued leave for illness or injury in excess of sixty (60) days. Leave for illness or injury for which compensation has been received shall be deducted from accrued leave for illness or injury at the rate of four (4) days for every one day’s monetary compensation; provided that no employee may receive compensation under this section for any portion of leave for illness or injury accumulated at a rate in excess of one day per month; (2) at the time of separation from District employment due to retirement or death, an eligible employee or the employee’s estate shall receive remuneration at a rate equal to one day’s current monetary compensation of the employee for each four (4) days accrued leave for illness or injury. No more than one hundred and eighty (180) accrued sick leave days shall be eligible for conversion. Changes in an employee’s FTE may impact the calculation of sick leave eligible for cash out as described in Appendix Q.

Attendance Incentive (Sick Leave Cash Out. Employees may cash out unused sick leave in accordance with RCW 28A.400.210. Cash out of this leave shall be administered in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations at the time cash out are occurring. At the time of this writing that provides that employees may cash out sick leave in January of any year provided the employee has over sixty days of earned sick leave by January 1, and has used less than twelve days of sick leave during the preceding calendar year. The employee may cash out the number of sick leave days, less than twelve, not used during the preceding calendar year, provided the employee will still have at least sixty days of earned sick leave after the cash out. The cash out provides one day of pay for each four days of accrued sick leave cashed out. The employee's sick leave accumulation shall be reduced four days for each day compensated.

  • Sick Leave Cash Out Eligible employees may elect to receive monetary compensation for accrued sick leave as follows: In January of each year an employee whose sick leave balance at the end of the previous year exceeds four hundred eighty (480) hours may elect to convert the sick leave hours earned in the previous calendar year, minus those hours used during the year, to monetary compensation. No sick leave hours may be converted which would reduce the calendar year end balance below four hundred eighty (480) hours. Monetary compensation shall be paid at the rate of twenty-five percent and shall be based on the employee’s current salary. All converted hours will be deducted from the sick leave balance. Employees who separate from University service due to retirement or death shall be compensated for the unused sick leave accumulation from the date of most recent hire in a leave eligible position with the State of Washington at the rate of 25%. Compensation shall be based upon the employee’s wage at the time of separation. For the purpose of this section, retirement shall not include vested out of service employees who leave funds on deposit with the retirement system. Former eligible employees who are re-employed within three (3) years of their separation from service shall be granted all unused sick leave credits, if any, to which they are entitled at time of separation.

  • Attendance Incentive Any employee who has completed one year of continuous employment without any absence from work except as provided below will receive an attendance incentive of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00).

  • Attendance Incentive Program In January of the year following any year in which a minimum of sixty (60) days of leave for illness or injury is accrued, and each January thereafter, any eligible employee may exercise an option to receive remuneration for unused leave for illness or injury accumulated in the previous year at a rate equal to one (1) day of monetary compensation of the employee for each four (4) full days of accrued leave for illness or injury in excess of sixty (60) days. Leave for illness or injury for which compensation has been received shall be deducted from accrued leave for illness or injury at the rate of four (4) days for every one (1) day of monetary compensation; provided, however, no employee shall receive compensation under this section for any portion of leave for illness or injury accumulated at a rate in excess of one (1) day per month. At the time of separation from school district employment due to retirement or death an eligible employee or the employee's estate shall receive remuneration at a rate equal to one (1) day of current monetary compensation of the employee for each four (4) full days accrued leave for illness or injury. The provisions of this section shall be administered in accordance with state law and applicable state rules and regulations. Should the legislature revoke any benefits granted under this section, no affected employee shall be entitled thereafter to receive such benefits as matter of contractual right.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Sick Leave Separation Cash Out At the time of retirement from state service or at death, an eligible employee or the employee’s estate will receive cash for their compensable sick leave balance on a one (1) hour for four (4) hours basis. For the purposes of this Section, retirement will not include “vested out of service” employees who leave funds on deposit with the retirement system.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.
