AUDITIONS. 18.1 The engagement shall not be deemed to have commenced until after an audition if such is desired by the Employer and an Employee shall not be entitled to any payment until he/she is definitely engaged except as prescribed herein and for any rehearsals as prescribed in this Agreement.
18.2 Auditions shall not be made in public and shall not be paid for unless the number thereof requested by the Employer exceeds three in any period of 28 days in which case there shall be paid for each audition in excess of three in any period of 28 days the casual rate as prescribed as set out in Table C of Schedule 1 of this Agreement.
18.3 The Audition Guidelines set out in Schedule 2 form part of this Agreement.
AUDITIONS. When possible, auditions for Minors shall begin no earlier than 3:30pm on school days.
AUDITIONS. (a) An audition for a given commercial or commercials must be scheduled by Producer for a specific time and the principal performer or his/her representative notified thereof. A call to the principal performer’s representative shall be deemed sufficient. A standard Audition Report Form, EXHIBIT E to this Contract, shall be used for all auditions. This Audition Report Form shall provide for information regarding ethnicity, sex, disability, and age range and shall include a written statement informing the principal performer of the purpose for requesting such information and that compliance is on a voluntary basis. Producer’s signature on the Audition Report Form shall not constitute a verification of the information supplied by the principal performer referred to herein and the form shall so state. The Audition Report Form shall also provide for the following information:
(i) Intended use.
(ii) A declaration to be signed by an authorized representative of Producer stating: “This recorded audition material will not be used as a client demo, an audience reaction commercial, for copy testing or as a scratch track without payment of the minimum compensation provided for in the Commercials Contract and shall be used solely to determine the suitability of the performer for a specific commercial.”
(iii) The name of the principal performer who is hired, if known, at the time the Audition Report Form is filed pursuant to this Section I.1.(a).
(iv) Whether the audition is for an on-camera or off-camera principal performer or extra performer.
(v) The name of the responsible person or persons who may be contacted by the Union to ascertain the use made of the recorded audition material, unless Producer has informed the Union in writing of the person designated to handle all such inquiries. If the name of the principal performer who is hired is not provided in the Audition Report Form which is filed pursuant to this Section I.1.(a), the Union may, within 60 days after the filing of the Audition Report Form and by reference to specific Audition Report Form(s), request information
(a) as to whether a principal performer was hired and his/her name; and (b) to verify compliance with the Declaration referred to in subparagraph (a).(ii) above. AUDITIONS. D101 Performer Auditions A Performer may audition without payment. However, any Performer engaged to take part in another’s Audition shall be paid Minimum guarantee $103.83, effective July 1, 2014 $105.39, effective July 1, 2015 Per hour rate $28.72, effective July 1, 2014 $29.15, effective July 1, 2015 D102 Auditions for Chorus Singers Where a Performer Audition is to be held for chorus singers for a program(s), notice of such auditions, with necessary details, shall be given to ACTRA’s local representative seven (7) days prior to such Audition. D103 Any Performer who takes a voice test as a member of a group, but is dropped from such group when it is accepted for a Broadcast, shall be paid a sum equal to the minimum fee for two (2) programs of the length of the accepted Broadcast.
AUDITIONS. Producer agrees to submit to SAG-AFTRA at least seven (7) days prior to any submission to agents, a cast breakdown setting forth a definitive description of each character in the production and instructions for Performer submissions. Producer must utilize an audition sign-in sheet for all auditions or interviews, as required by the Basic Agreement.
AUDITIONS. All Musicians taking part in talent auditions, wherever held, shall be paid a non-broadcast fee as per A3 rates. Auditions may be recorded subject to the following terms and conditions: a) If the audition is broadcast, the Musicians who took part in the audition recording shall be paid the additional broadcast fees as per A2 rate; b) Except as provided in Article 7.2 a), the CBC shall not, under any circumstances, exhibit such audition recordings publicly on broadcasts, in theatres, or in any other manner except privately to: i) CBC programme officials, and to, ii) prospective clients and advertisers for the purpose of selling a show of which the audition recording is a sample; c) In the event that the CBC retains a copy of an audition recording, terms covered in this article will be identified on all such copies; d) An accompanist playing for an audition or auditions, either vocal, instrumental or dramatic, shall be paid in accordance with the fees set out in A7 provided the performance is not broadcast or otherwise publicly exhibited in any way.
AUDITIONS. Should the Company choose to hold auditions, the Company shall provide the following audition conditions:
a) An audition for a given video or videos will be scheduled by the Company for a specific time and the performer or the performer’s representative shall be notified thereof.
b) The total time for the initial audition shall be four (4) hours in length (audition time shall be calculated from the performer’s stated call time).
c) Suitable shelter and the Company shall not require performers to wait outdoors and be directly exposed to inclement weather (e.g. rain, sun, cold) while waiting to be auditioned. If auditions are captured on video, such video may be used in the Music Video upon payment of a scale payment for the audition day and may be utilized in any other audio/visual production provided that the appropriate payment has been made in accordance with Paragraph 21 below. For purposes of Music Videos with a Production Budget of $200,000 or less, scale payment shall be the compensation negotiated by the performer. Performers who auditioned but were not hired to perform on a Music Video shall be paid the lowest scale being paid to a performer on the music video.
AUDITIONS. The purpose of an audition is to fill a vacancy with the best-qualified musicians available who will contribute to the continuous artistic growth of the Orchestra.
(a) Applicants to fill vacancies in the Orchestra will be subject to the audition procedure. All applicants auditioning shall be heard by the appropriate Audition Committees.
(b) The results of any audition shall not compromise the existing position of any auditioning Orchestra member.
AUDITIONS. Auditions for vacant positions will be scheduled before the first fall rehearsal and at other times as needed. Prospective participants, including those interested in serving as substitutes, will normally play for a panel including at least the music director and the personnel manager. Audition literature will generally consist of excerpts from pieces scheduled for the upcoming season. Members are expected to attend all rehearsals leading up to a concert. Notice must be provided to the personnel director in advance if a conflict arises. It is the responsibility of the musician to find a substitute for the rehearsal. Failure to notify the personnel director of an emergency absence or unexcused or excessive absences may result in the release of the musician from the ensemble.
