Basic Workweek, Overtime and Statutory Holidays. 4.01 (a) The basic workweek for full-time employees shall consist of forty (40) hours per week comprised of five (5) days, Monday to Friday, of eight (8) hour days. This shall not, however, be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week or of days of work per week.

Basic Workweek, Overtime and Statutory Holidays. 5.01 (a) Employees on Company payroll as of ratification will be recognized as having grandfathered rights to their paid breaks per Schedule B. In the event a new shift structure is implemented, employees will receive no less than two (2) weeks’ notice of any change, and in the event of more than one shift option, seniority will be recognized in reassignments. Prior to implementing a new shift schedule, the Company will notify the Union of the change. It is agreed that any employee that has not passed their probationary period as of ratification will only have one paid break as per the shift schedules below.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Compensation for Holidays Worked a. With the exception of the provisions in Section C.2.b., below, an employee required to work on a holiday listed above shall be paid at the employee's regular straight-time rate of pay for the hours actually worked. In addition, an eligible employee shall receive either compensatory time off or holiday pay at the option of the University at the regular straight-time rate, including any shift differential.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.
