Bilingual/Biliterate Stipend. Positions designated bilingual/biliterate by the Board shall receive a stipend of five percent (5%). Positions that are designated in the job description as bilingual will not be entitled to this stipend.

Bilingual/Biliterate Stipend. A unit member will receive a bilingual/bi- literate differential of five percent (5%) for assignments which require the ability to communicate orally and/or in writing with non-English speaking adults or in sign language with deaf or hard-of-hearing adults for an average of at least thirty (30) minutes.
Bilingual/Biliterate Stipend. 1. The District shall inform CSEA when developing or revising the test. 2. Unit members may opt to take the District’s assessment(s) of Spanish or other Language Skills (based on the needs of the district) to qualify for a yearly bilingual stipend. Unit members will be able to test up to 2 times per year if they do not pass. 3. Office staff (Secretary, Typist Clerk, and Health Tech) or Paraeducators assigned to a Dual Immersion or Alternative Program classroom may choose to take the bilingual / bi- literate assessment. The skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in a required language other than English shall be verified through a test designated by the Salinas City Elementary School District. a. Staff in the above categories who pass the bilingual/bi-literate assessment will receive a stipend of $100/month (10 months). 4. All other unit members, not referenced in paragraph 2 above, may choose to take the auditory and verbal-only assessment. These unit members who pass the bilingual assessment will receive a stipend of $50/month (10 months). 5. Unit members who receive the bilingual/bi-literate stipend will assist in interpreting and/or translating, depending on their category (paragraph 2 or 3 above), during their work hours. Time interpreting outside of the performance of their regular duties shall not extend the unit member’s workday or reflect a failure to complete their regular duties. Any time spent interpreting and/or translating outside the employee’s regular work time will be paid at their miscellaneous rate of pay. Overtime as described in Article VIII may apply.
Bilingual/Biliterate Stipend. If an employee speaks, verbally translates, reads, writes, and performs written translation in a language other than English in his/her regular job assignment, the employee with the recommendation of the principal/department administrator and the approval of the Assistant Superintendent Personnel Services or their designee shall be compensated an additional two and a half percent (2.5%) added to base salary upon successfully attaining a passing score on the the District bilingual/biliterate assessment.
Bilingual/Biliterate Stipend. 12 The Xxxxxxx Unified School District and the California School Employees' Association recognize 13 that the implementation of a job description phrase "some positions in this classification may 14 require the ability to speak, read and/or write a second language...", may be subject to varying 15 administrative interpretations. There are employees currently serving in certain positions whose 16 classification status may be affected by the change. The District may require that one or more 17 positions within a classification be designated as bilingual/biliterate. Any employee filling that 18 position and passing the District's bilingual/biliterate test, shall receive a 6% stipend over and 19 above their regular salary rate for the period that the position remains so designated.

  • Bilingual Pay Where the Employer currently pays bilingual pay or bonuses, it shall continue to do so. The Employer retains discretion to initiate bilingual pay or bonuses. The minimum bilingual bonus or hourly equivalent is $25 per pay period. The Employer may not require an employee to use bilingual skills without paying the appropriate bonus or pay. This does not apply to employees where such skills are in the classification specification.

  • Geographic Area and Sector Specific Allowances, Conditions and Exceptions The following allowances and conditions shall apply where relevant. Where the Employer does work which falls under the following headings, the Employer agrees to pay and observe the relevant respective conditions and/or exceptions set out below in each case.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • Presentation of Potential Target Businesses The Company shall cause each of the Initial Shareholders to agree that, in order to minimize potential conflicts of interest which may arise from multiple affiliations, the Initial Shareholders will present to the Company for its consideration, prior to presentation to any other person or company, any suitable opportunity to acquire an operating business, until the earlier of the consummation by the Company of a Business Combination or the liquidation of the Company, subject to any pre-existing fiduciary obligations the Initial Shareholders might have.

  • Professional Development; Adverse Consequences of School Exclusion; Student Behavior The Board President or Superintendent, or their designees, will make reasonable efforts to provide ongoing professional development to Board members about the adverse consequences of school exclusion and justice-system involvement, effective classroom management strategies, culturally responsive discipline, appropriate and available supportive services for the promotion of student attendance and engagement, and developmentally appropriate disciplinary methods that promote positive and healthy school climates, i.e., Senate Bill 100 training topics.
