Casual Shifts. It shall only be for extraordinary operational needs that the Employer will utilize on a casual basis, an employee who has resigned with a TSP payment under this Program during the period covered by the applicable notice payment period.

Casual Shifts. (a) Regular Employees who have been reduced in regular hours of work through the application of Article 24, and Employees on layoff shall indicate in writing on a monthly basis to the Employer their availability to work casual shifts (i.e. work opportunities of three (3) months or less). (b) Casual shifts shall be offered to Employees by seniority provided that the Employees have the skills, training, knowledge and ability to perform the work. (c) Regular Employees who have been reduced in regular hours shall be given first opportunity to casual shifts. Regular Employees on full layoff who refuse casual shifts may do so without adversely impacting their recall rights.
