CEU. Continuing Education Unit(s) granted by a college or university accredited by a nationally recognized association (e.g., N.C.A.T.E.). Each C.E.U. will be valued at two-thirds (2/3) of one (1) semester unit and is equal to 10 hours of work per unit.

CEU. Credit 1) The administration will work cooperatively with the Staff Development Coordinator, the Staff Development Committee and Department Heads to attempt to provide meaningful inservice on Staff Development Day for which Continuing Education Units (C.E.U.’s) can be obtained by interested certified/licensed staff subject to approval by the State Department of Education. Application for specific program approval shall be coordinated by the Staff Development Coordinator with necessary cooperation of Department Heads. The Administration will assume responsibility for all necessary record-keeping. 2) Certified/licensed staff may obtain C.E.U.’s toward recertification/re-licensure while attending approved professional leave activities on school time provided there is no additional expense in obtaining C.E.U.’s. Any additional expense for the CEU credit will be assumed by the employee.
CEU. Employees will receive at least one hundred dollars ($100) per fiscal year for approved course reimbursement. Eligible employees must have completed their probation period, hold an FTE of .50 or higher and have an employer required certification where CEU’s are required by the certifying agency. CEU funds will not roll over from year to year.

CEU. A cost-equivalent unit that is a fixed unit of measurement based on the cost of a Container relative to the cost of a twenty-foot standard dry freight container.
CEU. The abbreviation for “cost-equivalent unit”, a fixed unit of measurement which is the agreed ratio of the cost of an alternative type of container to the cost of a twenty-foot standard dry freight marine shipping container. The CEU for each container type is 1.0 per 20’ standard dry freight, 1.60 per 40’ standard dry freight, 1.70 per 40’ high cube dry freight, 8.00 per 20’ refrigerated container, 10.0 per 40’ refrigerated high cube container, 40’ refrigerated standard container, 40’ refrigerated AFAM container and 40’ refrigerated Everfresh container, 5.0 per genset, and 2.0 per 45’ high cube dry freight. Notwithstanding the foregoing, for the purposes of calculating CEUs in clause (3) of the definition of Early Amortization Event, the CEU of any Container of a particular type in the Borrower Fleet shall equal the actual CEU value for such container type in the Borrower Fleet as of the applicable determination date, calculated by dividing the average cost for each container type in the Borrower Fleet by the average cost for a 20’ Dry Container in the Borrower Fleet.
CEU. To be eligible for this benefit, employees must obtain CEUs or equivalent education or training in areas directly applicable to the employee's current classification or classification series, as determined and approved in advance in writing by the District. The fees associated with obtaining the CEUs must be paid for by the employee. CEU units earned beyond what are required for the maximum education incentive pay may be accrued for use toward education incentive pay in subsequent years, provided, however that beginning with credits earned July 1, 2014, only credit that has been received within the past three years may be eligible for the Continuing Education Incentive under this accrual provision. CEU units or equivalent education and training taken in furtherance of a technical certification will not be subject to the Education Incentive provided under this provision.
