Continuing Education Incentive. A unit employee who has not exceeded the top step of their salary range, and obtains his/her initial certification, and/or earns a(n) Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree, while working for MAAC, that is not a minimum requirement of his/her job, a condition of employment, or required for Career Development Advancement, will receive a step increase. Employees who have reached or exceeded the top step of their salary range will receive an additional 2.5% differential based on the top step of his/her classification. It is the intent of the parties to offer Career Development Advancement where applicable and a Continuing Education Incentive to those employees in classifications excluded from Career Development Advancement. An employee in a classification eligible for Career Development Advancement is eligible to receive a Continuing Education Incentive if his/her initial certification and/or Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s or higher degree is unrelated to their career advancement.

Continuing Education Incentive. A committee composed of three members appointed by the Association and three members appointed by the Board will develop guidelines and make recommendations to the Collaborative Bargaining Team regarding continuing education incentives for Career Service Personnel. The committee will file its report with the bargaining team on or before January 1, 2003 for consideration.
Continuing Education Incentive. 21.1 The District agrees to pay the cost of tuition and books for members enrolled in fire science, fire technology, public safety, and governance courses offered by accredited institutions and which have been approved by the Fire Chief prior to attendance. 21.2 When the District sends an individual to a specific class for any period of time, the individual shall be paid accordingly for his/her time at the class (school). (b) Approval of estimated mileage. (c) A mileage claim form showing starting and ending mileage.

Continuing Education Incentive. In order to support employee efforts to further their formal education, the Board will provide incentives for those who complete additional coursework during their employment with SASED. 1. Based on their status at hire, and upon verification of completed coursework and the granting of semester hours from an accredited college or university, employees will be eligible for the following one-time adjustment to their hourly rate: The completion of a 4-year degree, obtaining a substitute teacher license and the willingness to substitute - 10% increase to the hourly rate. 2.   • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Employment Relations Education Leave Employment Relations Education Leave will be allowed in accordance with the Employment Relations Act.

  • Sick Leave Donation Program A Labor Management Committee will be established for the purpose of proposing rules and procedures for a new, program. The LMC will be to develop consistent, transparent and equitable proposals for processes across all departments within the City. The LMC shall also explore proposals to lower the minimum leave bank required to donate sick leave and permit donation of sick leave upon separation from the City. The LMC must consult with the Office of Civil Rights to ensure compliance with the City’s Race and Social Justice Initiative. Once the LMC has developed its list of proposals, the City and Coalition of City Unions agrees to reopen each contract on this subject.
