For absences known to be for four weeks or longer, the most senior qualified Custodian with a ticket where required, will be appointed until such time as the position must be posted. This provision also applies in an Elementary School where more than two are scheduled to work, however a Custodian I may be appointed where a Custodian is not on staff in the school. Any employee designated as a Chief shall be required to adopt the Chief Custodian's regularly scheduled hours of work.   • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer. (b) Subject to agreement between the employer and employee, such breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20 minute tea break. (c) Xxx breaks will count as time worked.

  • Coffee Breaks The Company will provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks during each work day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

  • Intermittent Leave If medically necessary due to the serious medical condition of the employee, or that of the employee's spouse, child, parent, registered domestic partner within the meaning of Minneapolis Code of Ordinances Chapter 142, or other dependents and/or members of their households who have a serious medical condition, leave may be taken on an intermittent schedule. In cases of the birth, adoption or xxxxxx placement of a child, family and medical leave may be taken intermittently only when expressly approved by the Employer.

  • Tie Breaker The parties agree to utilize the following procedure if two or more members of the bargaining unit hold the same position within the same department and have the identical seniority dates: 1. If two or more bargaining unit members have the same amount of time in a particular classification, the first tiebreaker is the date of continuous University service. Continuous service is that service unbroken by a resignation or termination from the University. 2. In the event that a tie is not broken by the foregoing procedure, the second tiebreaker shall be the uninterrupted service of an employee with a state agency, a county office, or a state-supported college or university where no break in service occurs. 3. In the event a tie is not broken by either of the foregoing procedures, we will use the last four (4) digits of the Social Security Number, in ascending order with the lowest number prevailing (i.e. 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004 – 0001 Prevails).

  • Minimum Break between Shifts (a) Where it is necessary to work extended overtime, it is agreed that no Employee shall resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty between the termination of the overtime and the commencement of the Employee’s ordinary work on the next day or shift. (b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.

  • Rest Breaks Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break during each four (4) hours worked. It is the Employer's intention to provide uninterrupted rest breaks.
