Christmas Holiday. 7.5.1 A Christmas holiday shall be granted from December 24 to New Year's Day inclusive as a minimum, and exclusive of the statutory holidays which fall on a weekday within this period.
Christmas Holiday. All non-exempt hourly Officers whose shift begins on December 25 shall continue to be paid time and one half their regular hourly rate for all hours actually worked for the entire shift. Exempt Officers who are required by their immediate supervisor to work on Christmas shall be paid a holiday stipend pursuant to CITY policy.
Christmas Holiday. Every attempt shall be made to alternate work shifts on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so that no employee will be scheduled to work both days.

Management shall determine whether the College is closed for the Holiday on the day before Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas, as well as the day on which the additional day during the Christmas season will be observed. Employees of the bargaining unit shall be notified in advance of the designated days.

In the event that the 48/96 work schedule requires a shift (affected shift) to work both December 24 and December 25, the affected shift will switch scheduled workdays with the preceding shift (relief shift) (so long as the switch causes no overtime expense to the City) as follows: The affected shift will work December 22 and December 25 The relief shift will work December 23 and December 24 These changes will be considered the regularly scheduled work days for the shifts.
