Holidays Vacation and Sick Leave. District agrees that policies, rules and regulations of District for other full-time management employees relating to holidays, vacation and sick leave and other leaves of absence as they now exist, or as may be amended, shall apply to the Employee with the following exception.

Holidays Vacation and Sick Leave. Employee will be entitled to 11 holidays, 15 days vacation and 9 days sick leave per year as agreed to by Company. During such holidays, vacation and sick leave, Employee will receive Employee's usual compensation.

Pay for a holiday shall be equal to the employee’s regularly scheduled work day at the employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate. e) Full-time and part-time employees that work one (1) of the above holidays shall be paid for the holiday plus time and one half (1½) his/her base hourly rate of pay.for the hours worked for a total of two and one half times (2½) pay for hours actually worked. f) Part-time employees that are not scheduled to work on one (1) of the above holidays shall not be eligible for holiday pay. g) If a recognized holiday falls on a weekend, full-time employees that are not scheduled to work the holiday shall be compensated for the holiday. h) Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Holidays. The Employer will honor full- time employees request for at least one (1) of the following three (3) holidays off: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, subject to business requirements, which shall not be unreasonably denied. The Employer will rotate scheduled time off for these holidays among employees in an area. Vacation schedules cannot be used to circumvent the rotation of holidays.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to (a) sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to similarly situated executive officers of the Company from time to time and (b) 4 weeks paid vacation each calendar year (up to 40 hours of which may be carried forward to a succeeding year).

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • VACATIONS A. Classified employees who have completed nine months of service shall be entitled to five-sixths (5/6ths) of a workday of paid vacation for each month of service in which more than one-half (1/2) of the working days have been served in paid status. B. Vacations for employees who are assigned to ten (10) or eleven (11) month work years shall be taken on specified dates during recess vacation periods. C. Earned vacation shall not become a vested right until completion of the probationary nine (9) months of employment. D. This section shall not apply to substitute, short-term, or limited-term employees, as they are defined in Education Code. E. An employee terminating for any reason shall be paid for any unused vacation earned. F. Vacation may be taken at any time during the fiscal year if approved by the immediate supervisor. Requests for approval of vacation dates shall be submitted two months prior to requested vacation if the requested vacation period is for five or more consecutive days. The employee shall be notified in writing of approval or disapproval of his/her requested vacation within two weeks of submitting the request. If no response is given, it shall be assumed that the vacation is granted. For shorter than five consecutive days, the vacation dates shall be mutually agreed upon by the employee and his/her immediate supervisor. If the employee cannot take his/her vacation as scheduled due to circumstances beyond his/her control, the vacation may be rescheduled with the approval of the immediate supervisor. A rescheduling request shall be submitted as soon as the employee knows of the necessity for doing so. G. The District will make every effort to accommodate the employee's request for all vacation. H. When more than one person within a classification requests the same vacation period, the vacation request from the employee with more seniority shall be honored first. I. Beginning July 1, 2006, no employee shall be entitled to carry over a balance of more than 25 days vacation from one fiscal year to the next. On or before June 30 of each year the employee shall use the vacation days accumulated over the 25 day cap, except as provided in 18.1.J. J. Those employees who, prior to April 1, 1985, have vacation days accumulated ("banked days") may elect to: 1) use those days, 2) be paid for them on a pro-rated basis over three years, 3) carry them until retirement or termination from District employment, or,
