Cleaners. The work week shall consist of five (5) days, Monday to Friday inclusive, commencing at 5:00 p.m. and finishing at 12:00 a.m.
Cleaners. 2.1 Application
Cleaners. The normal workweek for two shift employees, shall consist of five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday, of eight (8) hours each, establishing a normal workweek of forty (40) hours. These employees are scheduled to cover two shifts in a twenty-four (24) hour period. The normal hours of work are:
Cleaners. Hours will not exceed 35 per week or more than seven (7) hours per day, Monday to Friday inclusive, between the spread of hours of 4am to 7pm and not more than four (4) hours on Saturday between the spread of hours of 4am to 1pm; provided that there will not be more than two (2) shifts on any one (1) day (unless otherwise provided – refer Clause 54.6.
Cleaners. The Employer agrees to provide improved conditions for cleaners in accordance with the following:
(a) The Employer agrees to provide a laundry allowance in the amount of EC$30.00 monthly to cleaners.
(b) The Employer agrees to provide improved working gear and material to facilitate the work of cleaners.
Cleaners. Three (3) to six (6) hours per day, five (5) days per week.
Cleaners. Not to employ or continue to employ in or about the Demised Premises any office cleaners or window cleaners other than those approved by the Landlord such approval not to be unreasonably withheld.
Cleaners. This provision does not apply to cleaners employed by an EREA School. A cleaner who under a previous Agreement received Refuse Disposal Allowance and/or Multi- Purpose Machines Allowance, shall not receive less than the rate of pay received by the Employee immediately prior to the commencement date of this Agreement, plus 2.5% of that rate of pay.
Cleaners. 28.01 Cleaners who work more than four (4) hours, but less than six (6) hours, shall be entitled to one ten (10) minute rest period. Cleaners who work a six-hour shift or more shall be entitled to two ten (10) minute rest periods. These rest periods shall not conflict with the employee’s work schedule and shall be approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor and/or building Principal. This provision is subject to Section 1.04(B).
28.02 Cleaners working less than five (5) consecutive hours shall not be entitled to a paid lunch. Cleaners working five (5) consecutive hours or more shall have a total of thirty (30) minutes of paid lunch time daily, subject to interruption for the performance of needed duties. This provision is subject to Section 1.04(C),
28.03 Cleaners shall work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
28.04 When any of the existing custodial positions are vacated, the Board may fill the vacancy with a cleaner classification. However, the Board shall maintain four (4) custodial positions.
28.05 Cleaners will wear district-issued shirts during their shift. Shirts will be furnished by the District.
28.06 Cleaners shall work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
