Clerical Workers. Entry level employee where initially work is performed under close direction using established practices, procedures & instructions. Later, work is likely performed under routine supervision and intermittent checking. Typical duties and skills at this level may include: ❖ Directing telephone callers to relevant staff, issuing and receiving standard forms, relaying internal information and greeting visitors, e.g. reception, switchboard. ❖ Maintenance of basic manual and/or computer records. ❖ Filing, recording, matching, checking and batching of accounts, records, invoices, order, store requisitions etc. ❖ Handling, recording or distributing mail including messenger service. ❖ Simple stock control functions within clearly established parameters. ❖ Copy typing and audio typing. Routine operation of office machines & equipment. ❖ Basic use of keyboard operated equipment. Employees who have had sufficient experience and/or training to enable them to carry out assigned duties under limited supervision. Employees are required to exercise judgment and initiative within a broad range of their skills and knowledge. Typical duties and skills at this level may include: ❖ Reception skills as for Level 1, and in addition, responding to enquiries where presentation and the use of interpersonal skills together with the acquisition of sound knowledge of the company’s operations and services. ❖ Filing, recording, matching, checking and batching of accounts, records, invoices, order, store requisitions etc. ❖ Handling, recording or distributing mail including messenger service. ❖ Simple stock control functions within clearly established parameters. ❖ Copy typing and audio typing at 65 words per minute at 98% accuracy. Routine operation of office machines & equipment. ❖ Word Processing to create, format, edit correct, print and save text documents. ❖ Maintenance of records and/or journals including initial processing and recording relating to the following: Reconciliation of accounts balance Incoming/outgoing cheques Invoices Debit/credit items Payroll data Xxxxx cash Correspondence ❖ Secretarial – performing a broad range of clerical functions within this level ❖ Computer applications involving clerical skills at this level, which may include one or more of the flowing functions: Create a database/files/records Spreadsheet/worksheet Graphics Accounting/payroll file following standard procedures ad using existing models.

  • Shift Workers All shift workers (i.e. workers whose shift commences at or after the end of the ordinary day work hours) presenting for work when the temperature is at or over 35°C will remain on site in air conditioned amenities for a minimum two hours, holding themselves available to commence work should the temperature fall below 35°C.

  • Shiftworkers 35.1 Shiftworker for the purposes of this clause is defined as an Employee who performs Shiftwork and who starts or finishes a shift outside of the ordinary hours set out at clause 34.2 above. 35.2 A Shiftworker shall be paid at the rate of double time for all hours worked. 35.3 An Employee who has to work Shiftwork shall be given at least 48 hours of notice of the requirements to work shift work.

  • Independent Contractor; Workers’ Compensation Insurance The Contractor is performing as an independent entity under this Contract. No part of this Contract shall be construed to represent the creation of an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture agreement between the parties. Neither party will assume liability for any injury (including death) to any persons, or damage to any property, arising out of the acts or omissions of the agents, employees or subcontractors of the other party. The Contractor shall provide all necessary unemployment and workers’ compensation insurance for the Contractor’s employees, and shall provide the State with a Certificate of Insurance evidencing such coverage prior to starting work under this Contract.

  • Contractor’s Project Manager and Key Personnel Contractor shall appoint a Project Manager to direct the Contractor’s efforts in fulfilling Contractor’s obligations under this Contract. This Project Manager shall be subject to approval by the County and shall not be changed without the written consent of the County’s Project Manager, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Contractor’s Project Manager shall be assigned to this project for the duration of the Contract and shall diligently pursue all work and services to meet the project time lines. The County’s Project Manager shall have the right to require the removal and replacement of the Contractor’s Project Manager from providing services to the County under this Contract. The County’s Project manager shall notify the Contractor in writing of such action. The Contractor shall accomplish the removal within five (5) business days after written notice by the County’s Project Manager. The County’s Project Manager shall review and approve the appointment of the replacement for the Contractor’s Project Manager.   • Labor Harmony The parties acknowledge that it is of the utmost importance to City, Tenant, and all those occupying or to occupy space in the Domestic and International Terminals that there be no interruption in the progress of the construction work. Accordingly, City and Tenant agree as follows: (a) In any contract or undertaking which Tenant may make with a contractor for work in the Premises, provision shall be made for the dismissal from the job of workmen whose work is unskilled or otherwise objectionable, in the Director’s (and, for this purpose, “the Director” shall include a reference to the Airport’s Architect) reasonable judgment. Tenant shall cause any such workmen to be discharged from the project within twenty-four (24) hours after Director shall give notice to Tenant requiring such discharge. (b) Tenant shall use, and Tenant shall require its contractor and subcontractors to use, their respective best efforts to prevent work stoppages on the Premises, and/or elsewhere on the Airport, to the extent attributable to work being performed on the Premises, irrespective of the reason of any such stoppage. In the event that the conduct or presence of any employee(s) of Tenant or Tenant’s contractor(s) or subcontractor(s) causes a labor dispute or work stoppage, Tenant shall have such employee(s) immediately removed from the Airport upon Director’s request. (c) Tenant shall include, and shall cause its contractor to include, the following clause in all contracts with its general contractors and subcontractors: There shall be no manifestations on the project of any dispute between any labor organization and any Tenant contractor or subcontractor, including but not limited to, any area standards picketing against said contractor or subcontractor. Should there be any manifestation of a labor dispute between any Tenant contractor or subcontractor and any union, which results in a stoppage of work on the part of said contractor or subcontractor’s employees or the employees of any other employer or supplier on the project or at the Airport, which in the sole judgment of the Director will cause, or is likely to cause, unreasonable delay in the progress of construction or operation of any business at the Airport, then upon written notice from Director, Tenant shall declare the contractor or subcontractor in default of its contract, and upon such notice, Tenant shall have the right to take such steps as are necessary to finish the uncompleted portion of the work to be performed by the contractor or subcontractor. (d) Without limiting the generality of indemnities elsewhere in this Lease, Tenant shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless City and each City Entity for any and all Losses which arise from the actions taken pursuant to this Section 7.9.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Coordination with Workers' Compensation When an employee has incurred an on-the- job injury or an on-the-job disability and has filed a claim for workers' compensation, medical costs connected with the injury or disability shall be paid by the employee's health plan, pursuant to M.S. 176.191, Subdivision 3.

  • Contractor’s Personnel Contractor warrants that all Contractor personnel engaged in the performance of Work under this Contract shall possess sufficient experience and/education to perform the services requested by the County. County expressly retains the right to have any of the Contractor personnel removed from performing services under this Contract. Contractor shall effectuate the removal of the specified Contractor personnel from providing any services to the County under this Contract within one business day of notification by County. County shall submit the request in writing to the Contractor’s Project Manager. The County is not required to provide any reason, rationale or additional factual information if it elects to request any specific Contractor personnel be removed from performing services under this Contract.

  • Uniforms and Protective Clothing 33.1 Where the employer requires an employee to wear a uniform, it shall be provided free of charge, but shall remain the property of the employer. 33.2 Suitable protective clothing shall be provided at the employer's expense where the duty involves a risk of excessive soiling or damage to uniforms or personal clothing or a risk of injury to the employee.

  • Contractor Key Personnel ‌ The Contractor shall assign a Corporate OASIS SB Program Manager (COPM) and Corporate OASIS SB Contract Manager (COCM) as Contractor Key Personnel to represent the Contractor as primary points-of-contact to resolve issues, perform administrative duties, and other functions that may arise relating to OASIS SB and task orders solicited and awarded under OASIS SB. Additional Key Personnel requirements may be designated by the OCO at the task order level. There is no minimum qualification requirements established for Contractor Key Personnel. Additionally, Contractor Key Personnel do not have to be full-time positions; however, the Contractor Key Personnel are expected to be fully proficient in the performance of their duties. The Contractor shall ensure that the OASIS SB CO has current point-of-contact information for both the COPM and COCM. In the event of a change to Contractor Key Personnel, the Contractor shall notify the OASIS SB CO and provide all Point of Contact information for the new Key Personnel within 5 calendar days of the change. All costs associated with Contractor Key Personnel duties shall be handled in accordance with the Contractor’s standard accounting practices; however, no costs for Contractor Key Personnel may be billed to the OASIS Program Office. Failure of Contractor Key Personnel to effectively and efficiently perform their duties will be construed as conduct detrimental to contract performance and may result in activation of Dormant Status and/or Off-Ramping (See Sections H.16. and H.17.).
