Competition Process. The Employer will conduct interviews with all applicants meeting the threshold qualifications, as stated in the Expression of Interest. Selection of the successful applicant will be based on the qualifications and abilities as set out in the invitation for Expression of Interest. The decision of the Selection Committee will not be grievable. Candidates in the mentoring program are not qualified for the new position and, as a result, would not be successful in a competition built to determine those skills. The mentoring program uses a process which tries to determine potential and works with the candidate to bring the skill set to the level needed. The Credit Union will do the following to assist the candidate: • provide a combination of classroom education, on-the-job training and experience and one- on-one coaching • set in place formal, documented, regular performance reviews, completed by the manager of the work unit involved • determine the defined window of learning – usually somewhere between three months and one year, depending upon the position. This length of time for the learning window will be established at the time of appointment and will be given to the candidate in writing. If a candidate is not able to master the position, he/she is returned to his/her previous position, with all other employees moving backwards.

Competition Process. (a) The competition process consists of a written examination, oral examination and practical examination. To be considered “qualified” for promotion including Acting Captain, applicants must attain no less than an overall xxxx of 75% with a minimum of 65% on each examination within the same competition process.
Competition Process. Except as provided in clauses 46.03, 46.04, 46.05 and 46.08, the Centre shall post and fill vacant and newly created positions consistent with the following:
(a) Candidates in a pre-qualified pool established through a previous staffing competition may be considered before a similar position is posted. The pre-qualified pool will remain active for a period of 12 months.
(b) The Centre agrees that first consideration will be given to the Centre’s employees when filling vacancies.
(c) The Centre will advertise any vacant position on the Intranet for a minimum period of fourteen (14) days. The notice of the posting shall contain the following information based on the position description:
i) Classification Level
ii) Duties of the Position
iii) Qualifications Required
iv) Salary Scale
v) Closing date for receipt of applications vi) Hours of Work
Competition Process. Entry into the competition is free. Competition entrants should submit short videos with the specifications listed in the “entrant requirements”. All footage must be original work filmed after October 2015. Any music and images used must be appropriately credited/acknowledged. All music and images must be accompanied with the appropriate permissions and clearances and must be original, permitted or copyright free. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure they do not infringe the copyright or intellectual property of another person, group or entity. The competition winner will be selected by a panel determined by the promoter and will be based on creativity, relevance and originality of the entry. The panel’s decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into. The name of the prize winner will be published on facebook.
