The "Conferences and Training" clause outlines the terms under which employees may attend professional conferences, workshops, or training sessions during their employment. Conferences and Training. Any employee attending an educational or training conference, pre- approved by the Employer, shall be paid straight time only, and overtime pay shall not be paid under any circumstances.
Conferences and Training. Employees shall be entitled to paid time off to attend professional conferences and training related to their work on a reasonable and non-discriminatory basis to the extent that funds are made available for such purposes.
Conferences and Training. Four (4) bargaining unit members shall be assured paid leave to attend the following Lodge conferences or training events. Paid leave will be given as Administrative Leave. Officers will also be assured paid leave for travel to and from the conferences and/or training identified below:
a. State Conference
b. State Board
c. National FOP Conference
d. Labor summits sponsored by the State or National FOP Lodge (such as, but not limited to: Leadership Matters Conference and/or Annual Labor Summit).
Conferences and Training. 31.1 The Association believes in the professional development of employees and within its limited resources will provide and support a range of training opportunities. This will include on-the-job training, Association courses and workshops and external training programs, conferences etc. The training opportunities will usually be either Association or employee initiated. Under both circumstances, the employee may, with the prior approval of the Association, attend conferences, training courses and seminars during normal working hours without loss of pay.
31.2 Where an employee initiates a request to attend a conference, training course or seminar, the costs of attending such events will be met either fully or in part by the Association, based on a mutually agreed arrangement that is existing and common practice across the Association.
31.3 Where an employee is directed to attend a conference, training course or seminar the Association will meet all costs and travel, and if the event is conducted outside their normal ordinary hours they will be paid in accordance with Clause 17, Overtime Payments for all time taken in attending including any necessary travelling time.

Conferences and Training. Subject to advance notice and approval, Employees shall be entitled to paid time off to attend professional conferences and training related to their work. Approval shall be granted on a reasonable and non-discriminatory basis. Employees will receive reimbursement up to $200 a year for such conferences and training within two pay periods after submitting proof of attendance and payment.
Conferences and Training. Staff involved in Conferences and Training will generally be regarded as having worked a minimum of a 7.6 hour day. Hours worked in excess of 7.6 hours should be recorded as worked.
