Events Beyond Our Control If an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and prevents Us from performing any of Our obligations under this Contract to any extent, then We are not required to perform that obligation to the extent and for as long as We are prevented by that Event Beyond Our Control. If such an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and We consider it appropriate to do so, We may notify You of the Event Beyond Our Control by any reasonable means, including by a public announcement.
Training Benefits In the event that the Employer should introduce new methods or machines which require new or greater skills than are possessed by employees under the present method of operation, such employees shall, at the expense of the Employer, be given a reasonable period of time, in the opinion of the Employer, during which they may perfect or acquire the skills necessitated by the new method of operation. There shall be no change in wage or salary rates during the training period of any such employee.
Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences The Hirer must report all accidents involving injury to the public to a member of the Village Hall management committee as soon as possible and complete the relevant section in the Village Hall’s accident book. Any failure of equipment belonging to the Village Hall or brought in by the Hirer must also be reported as soon as possible. Certain types of accident or injury must be reported on a special form to the local authority. The Hall Secretary will give assistance in completing this form. This is in accordance with the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR).
Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.
Emergency Closings In the event a student day or teacher duty day is lost because of an emergency closing, the teacher shall perform duties on that day (unless hazardous conditions prohibit) or other such day in lieu thereof as the School Board or its designated representative shall determine, if any.
Transition from Existing Evaluation System A) The parties may agree that 50% of more of Educators in the district will be evaluated under the new procedures at the outset of this Agreement, and 50% or fewer will be evaluated under the former evaluation procedures for the first year of implementation of the new procedures in this Agreement.
