DAY’S WORK. In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and, in particular, Sections 1810 to 1815 thereof, inclusive, incorporated herein by reference, eight hours labor shall constitute a day’s work, and no worker in the employ of Contractor, or any subcontractor, doing or contracting to do any part of the work contemplated by the Contract, shall be required or permitted to work more than eight (8) hours in any one calendar day and forty (40) hours in any one calendar week in violation of those provisions; provided that subject to Labor Code Section 1815, a worker may perform work in excess of either eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours during any one week upon compensation for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours during any one week at not less than one and one-half times the basic rate of pay.

Time and a half (1-1/2) shall be paid to all employees working in excess of eight (8) hour days. All work performed over eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week, on the sixth consecutive day in any work week, shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) the regular rate of pay. Relief persons and part-time employees may work a split work week. Hours other than herein stated may be established by mutual agreement between the parties.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Day Work The work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 ½) hours exclusive of lunch periods, comprising five (5) days of seven and one-half (7 ½) hours each, Monday through Friday. The work day shall be scheduled to fall between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise agreed.

  • Contract Work Contract work means capital project work within existing plant facilities, major maintenance and/or revamp work, plant modifications and/or shutdown work, minor maintenance and/or repair work, breakdown maintenance.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00.   • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • Consecutive Hours of Work The daily hours of work for each employee shall be consecutive.

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.
