Deans. 1 graduate student; • 1 staff member; • 6 tenured Faculty Members elected by the University Faculty Council, with not more than one representative from any one Faculty, including Laurier Brantford; • 2 Senate Members elected by Senate.
Deans. Deans shall be paid a stipend at seven percent (7%) of the base salary for current year to perform duties as outlined under present policies and procedures. An additional one percent (1%) per year will be added to the stipend for each year of service in the position not to exceed an additional six percent (6%). A current employee who substitutes for a Xxxx on an extended leave of absence will receive this stipend, prorated based on the number of days serving in this role divided by 180.
Deans. Directors and the Vice-President may maintain working files, a list of which will be included in the personnel file.
Deans. Selection of Deans is a duty of the University. Such appointments shall only be made after a Search Committee has recommended an appointee to the University.
11.2.1.2.1 The Committee shall be comprised of an equal number of members of the Union representatives from the Faculty in which the hire is occurring and the Administration. The Union shall select its members for such committees and, within two calendar weeks of receiving a written request, provide the names of the Faculty members to the University. In addition to the members so selected, a chairperson shall be named by the President. The chairperson shall be non-voting.
11.2.1.2.2 Staff and/or student representatives may be invited to join such a Committee. In the event that such additional representatives do join the Committee, the number of representatives from each additional constituency shall not exceed the number of Faculty representatives on the Committee.
11.2.1.2.3 Although appointments will normally be made from the names submitted by the Search Committee, the University may appoint any candidate whose application has been placed before the Search Committee. Further, the names of all qualified internal candidates, whether or not they hold acting appointments, shall be included in the recommendations referred to above.
Deans. Each campus shall be represented on the committee. The University shall provide the union with a list of each teaching assistant or graduate assistant who applied for money from this Fund and the amount awarded. The granting of or failure to provide money from this Fund, including the amount awarded, is not grievable. The amount of funds available shall be as follows: $525,000 in 2014-2015; $625,000 in 2015-2016; $725,000 in 2016-2017; and $825,000 in 2017-2018. Unused funds from any given year shall be rolled over and used in the next year. The funds in the Professional Development Fund shall not replace any existing University funds currently devoted for these purposes.
Deans. In determining when a per diem substitute becomes eligible for long-term substitute status as provided in the practices of the district and, thereby, becomes eligible for membership in the teachers bargaining unit, the following criteria will be used: The per diem substitute must be employed for at least 35 working days in the same assignment for a minimum period of two consecutive calendar months. Teachers commencing such assignment after January 1, 1997, and upon becoming eligible for long-term substitute status, shall be given salary credit for a maximum of two years of teaching experience. The Board of Education may, in exceptional cases, and upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, grant additional credit for salary purposes.
Deans. Each Year Level has its own Xxxx and in addition there is a Xxxx of Maori, Xxxx of Pasifika, Xxxx of International Students, Director of Sport, Director of Culture, Deans of Advanced Learning, Director of Learning Support and High-Performance Sports Manager.
Deans. Teachers may apply to perform the duties of Xxxx of Student Supports at their respective schools. The District shall have the sole discretion to select from among those qualified teachers who apply for the Xxxx of Student Supports position(s), to determine the number of individuals selected and to determine the duration of their participation in these positions. The duties of the Xxxx of Students Supports shall be limited to issues of student management and professional support to teachers, including but not limited to student supervision in the hallways and cafeteria, out of supervision, attendance and lateness, providing mediations in the resolution of student conflict, meeting with students and parents, establishing and engaging in parental communication and/or other student disciplinary issues which may result from behavior violations identified during their assigned periods, and other similar duties. Each Xxxx of Student Supports will report directly to their assigned Assistant Principal. The District is not required to fill the position of Xxxx of Student Supports and the District, in its sole discretion, may transfer any or all of the job duties performed by a Xxxx of Student Supports to an administrator, regardless of whether the Teachers have exclusively performed such work.
Deans. 24.7.1 Employees assigned to serve as full-time deans will receive a contract providing for nine (9) additional days of service at the employee’s normal daily rate of pay. Payment shall be prorated and paid monthly.
24.7.2 The nine (9) days shall be mandatory, but the specific days shall be mutually agreed upon by the building principal and his/her deans.
