Salary Credit. Employees shall be given credit for all years of service for previous work up to five (5) years of service as stipulated below. Such persons with more than five (5) years of service may be granted additional service credit in accordance with the stipulations set forth below:
Salary Credit. Advancement will be restricted to no more than two lanes in any two-year period.
A. Courses may be taken in the following areas:
1. Professional preparation in education.
2. Preparation in one's teaching field.
3. Other related courses appropriate to increasing teacher effectiveness.
4. Courses that enhance non-classroom services to the district taken at the request of the district.
5. Up to three credits out of every thirty, may be approved in an area unrelated to a teacher's professional duties.
B. With the intent to maintain quality, all courses for credit must be sponsored by one of the following:
1. An accredited college
2. NYSUT
3. BOCES
4. District
a. District generated in-service b. Authorized by the district to meet district needs
C. Credit
1. College credit shall mean semester hours and generally shall be restricted to graduate credit.
2. Undergraduate credit will be approvable only under one of the following conditions:
a. No comparable graduate course is available.
b. The undergraduate course is more appropriate.
3. In-service credits are subject to the following conditions:
a. Teachers on Schedule A must bank in-service course credits.
b. Teachers on Schedules B, C, and D may earn in-service credits up to a maximum of thirty. At no time may credited in-service courses exceed half of the completed graduate credits.
4. For district generated courses, in-service credit shall be defined in terms of cumulative hours. Fifteen hours shall equal one credit.
a. For district generated in-service courses approved by the Administrative Council, teachers may apply for pay in lieu of salary credit. Payment will be at the rate of $232.00 2001/2002, $240.00 2002/2003, $248.00 2003/2004 for a fifteen hour, one credit course.
b. District teachers who teach a district generated in-service course approved by the Administrative Council, will be paid at the rate of $1,200.00 for a fifteen hour, one credit course. This stipend includes preparation time. This stipend applies to courses taught both during the regular school year and during the summer.
Salary Credit. 504.1 Employees will be granted salary credit for professional and military experience as accepted by Oklahoma state law. Employees will be paid in accordance with their experience and degree on the most recently negotiated salary schedule as listed on Appendix 1.
Salary Credit. Salary credit will be based on sixteen (16) contact hours per salary credit except as adjusted by the Professional Growth Team.
Salary Credit. Any employee who is employed one (1) semester, or an equal number of days of a school term during which he/she is on an unpaid leave, shall be entitled to such salary increase as prescribed by this Agreement as if the leave had not been granted.
Salary Credit. The District may identify certain areas in which there is a shortage of qualified candidates. Teachers in those areas and teachers interested in retraining shall receive salary credit for all courses -- graduate and undergraduate level -- up to a maximum of thirty-six (36) hours, to include previously earned hours. An exception may be made if the teacher is enrolled in an approved graduate degree program in the aforementioned area. All courses must be approved through the normal channels. The employee must file an application for participation along with the appropriate information to include numbers and titles of courses to be taken prior to embarking on such a program.
Salary Credit. A unit member on leave without pay who provides service for a semester or more shall receive credit for salary schedule advancement effective midyear.
Salary Credit. Any ESP who began their employment within NSSEO on or before January 15th shall accrue a full year’s credit for that year. New ESP hired beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the Board, in its discretion, may award one (1) year experience credit on the ESP salary matrix. The amount of experience credit the Board may award will increase by one year in each subsequent year of the agreement.
Salary Credit. Participants in job sharing positions shall have their salaries prorated according to the time worked. Contributions to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund shall be pro-rated according to the time worked.
Salary Credit. The salary structure as defined in the schedule is based on credit for experience in nursing.
