DIRTY WORK BONUS. 3.01 Dirty work bonus shall only be paid in the following circumstances: (a) All applications of hot or cold tar, (b) All work performed while inside pipes, (c) All welding/cutting of galvanized material, (d) All rock drilling and/or blasting. (e) Caulking lead joints. (f) Initial power washing of vaults and cleanout of debris associated with power washing. (g) Where additional ventilation is needed and respirator equipment is required to be worn while working inside vaults. To be eligible under (f) or (g) above, the Waterworks Superintendent must give approval for the Dirty Work Bonus to apply prior to any work being initiated, such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. 3.02 The bonus for dirty work shall be one (1) hour additional pay when two (2) hours or less dirty work is performed in one (1) working day or; two (2) hours additional pay when more than two (2) hours is performed in one (1) working day or; three
DIRTY WORK BONUSPermanent employees, while working, who come in actual contact with live sewage shall be paid a minimum of seventy-five cents ($0.75) per hour while so employed. This Article shall not be applicable to those employed in any of the following classifications: Operator 2, Pipelayer, Truck Driver and Utility personnel at the Zoo.
DIRTY WORK BONUS. 30.1 Employees required to perform the following duties: (1) enter and clean boilers, fuel oil tanks, air tanks and double-bottom water tanks; (2) clean boiler tubes; (3) working below engineroom floor or boiler room plates to clean bilges and tank tops shall be paid a bonus of $1.75 per hour for actual time so occupied with a minimum payment of one hour, which shall cover all work performed within the hour.
DIRTY WORK BONUS. (a) Employees hired prior to December 31, 2000 (other than those regularly employed as full-time or part-time operators) who are required to work as refuse packer operators shall receive an additional premium of ten per cent (10%) while so engaged. All employees hired after January 1, 2001 who are required to work as refuse packer operators shall be paid refuse packer operator rate. (b) Employees in contact with live sewage (meaning sewer mains, sewer services, sewer pump stations or waste water treatment plants) shall receive an additional premium of ten percent (10%) per hour while so engaged. Chief Treatment and Treatment Plant Operators are excluded from the dirty work bonus for contact with live sewage. (c) All other employees are excluded from the Dirty Work Bonus.
DIRTY WORK BONUS. (a) Employees hired prior to December 31, 2000 (other than those regularly employed as full-time or part-time operators) who are required to work as refuse packer operators shall receive an additional premium of ten per cent (10%) while so engaged. All employees hired after January 1, 2001 who are required to work as refuse packer operators shall be paid refuse packer operator rate. (b) Employees in contact with live sewage, or who repair uncleaned garbage packers, shall receive an additional premium of ten percent (10%) per hour while so engaged. Chief Treatment and Treatment Plant Operators are excluded from the dirty work bonus for contact with live sewage. (c) An employee assigned to pick up a dead animal shall be entitled to the dirty work bonus, based on one (1) hour of their regular rate of pay. (d) Arena employees or guards who are assigned to clean washroom facilities or cells shall be entitled to the dirty work bonus, based on one (1) hour of their regular rate of pay, only when required to clean up vomit or human excrement on floors or walls. (e) Employees assigned to empty garbage from street containers or from garbage barrels in Parks, and/or who may be required in the same day to clean up vomit or human excrement on floors or walls in Parks washrooms shall be entitled to the dirty work bonus, based on two (2) hours per day of their regular rate of pay.
