Dock Day. 1. Where a teacher requests a personal leave day and the sole reason for denial is that three (3) teachers have already requested and received a personal leave day, the Superintendent may approve a dock day in lieu of a personal leave day, provided all the requirements for a personal leave day are otherwise met and, in the Superintendent’s discretion, it is determined that the educational standards for the schools will not be adversely affected by the additional absence or absences of teachers. 2. A teacher who utilizes a dock day will not be paid for that day. 3. The number of personal days will be unaffected by the use of a dock day.

Dock Day. Dock days beyond the employee’s accrued leave shall not be permitted without prior approval by the Director of Human Resources. Leave will be granted or denied on a case-by-case basis upon the facts and the extenuating circumstances necessitating the leave request. Failure to receive prior approval for a dock day may result in disciplinary action.

B. A driver who utilized a dock day will not be paid for that day. C. The number of personal days will be unaffected by the use of a dock day. D. Docks days may be denied of abuse or violation if found upon investigation and action by the Board. E. Before requesting a Dock Day, all Personal Days must be used.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Boxing Day If another Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this Agreement, such additional proclaimed holiday will replace one of the above-named holidays as agreed by the parties.   • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Billing Period The calendar month shall be the standard period for all charges and payments under this Agreement. On or before the fifteenth (15th) day following the end of each month, Seller shall render to Buyer an invoice for the payment obligations incurred hereunder during the preceding month, based on the Energy Delivered in the preceding month, and any RECs deposited in Buyer’s GIS account or a GIS account designated by Buyer to Seller in writing in the preceding month. Such invoice shall contain supporting detail for all charges reflected on the invoice, and Seller shall provide Buyer with additional supporting documentation and information as Buyer may request.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Tolling Period If it becomes necessary or desirable for the Corporation to seek compliance with the provisions of Section 14.2 by legal proceedings, the period during which Grantee shall comply with said provisions will extend for a period of twelve (12) months from the date the Corporation institutes legal proceedings for injunctive or other relief.
