No pay will be given to drivers that are scheduled for their regular biennial physical during the weekend or the summer unless the driver is assigned a summer driving assignment. In addition to the regular biennial drug test above, all transportation employees performing safety sensitive functions and who are holders of Florida Commercial Driver Licenses (CDLs) are subject to the drug and alcohol testing requirements of School Board Policy 3.961 and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) 49 CFR Parts 40 and 382.

If requested by the employee, these results will be reviewed with the employee by the employee’s assigned Substance Abuse Professional. The cut-off levels for the respective alcohol tests shall be pursuant to School Board Policy 3.961, Sections 7 and 9.

Challenges to test results are outlined in School Board Policy 3.961, Section 13. The employee must cooperate fully with the MRO in this review and meet all deadlines. All aspects of the testing process, including any challenge to the initial testing process, will be confidential except as provided otherwise in School Board Policy 3.961. DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING OF. TRANSPORTATION EMPLOYEES WHO ARE HOLDERS OF FLORIDA COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSES (CDLs) (cont’d) SECTION 5 General Procedures After Confirmed Positive Test and Return to Duty‌ Transportation employees, Bus Drivers, who are returned to duty after completion of the designated evaluation and rehabilitation program, shall be subject to follow-up testing in accordance with US Department of Transportation (DOT) 49 CFR, Part 40 and 382. The cost of the annual physical examination shall be borne by the Board. Holders of CDLs and those who are fist-time drug and/or alcohol offenders must successfully complete an evaluation and rehabilitation program as determined by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) through the District’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which will include unannounced follow-up testing as directed by the SAP. In addition, the employee shall be subject to the procedures outlined in School Board Policy 3.961, Sections 8 and 9, as well as the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) 49 CFR Part 40, Subpart O.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING Employees may be tested for drugs and/or alcohol pursuant to the provisions of the Employer's Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which is attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement as if more fully set forth herein.

  • DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING Drug/alcohol testing shall be conducted solely for administrative purposes and the results obtained shall not be used in criminal proceedings. Under no circumstances may the results of drug/alcohol screening or testing be released to a third party for use in a criminal prosecution against the affected employee. The City conducts the following types of drug/alcohol testing to determine if employees are in compliance with this policy and associated rules of conduct: pre- employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident. In addition, employees are tested prior to returning to duty after a positive drug or alcohol test and subject to follow-up testing conducted during the course of a rehabilitation program recommended by a substance abuse professional. A Medical Review Officer (MRO) reviews test results and determines which tests are positive and which are negative. The City shall test for the following drugs: marijuana, amphetamines, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), cocaine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, methaqualone, and propoxyphene.. An initial drug screen is conducted on each specimen. For those specimens that are not negative, a confirmatory gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) test is performed. The test is considered positive if the amounts present are above the minimum thresholds established in 49 CFR Part 40. An alcohol concentration of .04 percent or greater is considered a positive alcohol test, and in violation of this policy. If a drug or alcohol test produces a positive result, the City may take such actions as authorized in Section 14.6 herein. Sick leave and/or other paid leave may be used while participating in a rehabilitation program. Otherwise, the employee will be placed on leave without pay until return to work following a negative alcohol/ drug test and authorization by the SAP.

  • Drug and Alcohol Testing Permitted Testing is permitted where the Employer has reasonable suspicion to believe.

  • Drug and Alcohol Testing – Safety-Sensitive Functions A. Employees required to have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are subject to pre-employment, post-accident, random and reasonable suspicion testing in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation rules, Coast Guard Regulations (46 CFR Part 16) or the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991. The testing will be conducted in accordance with current Employer policy.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE WORKPLACE 20.1 All employees must report to work in a condition fit to perform their assigned duties unimpaired by alcohol or drugs.

  • Drug and Alcohol Policy 67.1 The Parties agree to apply the Drug and Alcohol Management Program (as amended from time to time) contained in Appendix G.

  • Alcohol Testing The administration of an alcohol test shall be in accordance with the test equipment manufacturer's instructions.

  • DRUG & ALCOHOL POLICY The parties agree that employees represented by this Agreement shall be free from the influence of drugs and/or alcohol while at work. The Agency's Drug/Alcohol Policy will be adhered to by such employees.

  • Drug Testing (A) The state and the PBA agree to drug testing of employees in accordance with section 112.0455, F.S., the Drug-Free Workplace Act.
