Drugs and Controlled Substances. Possession, use, distribution, manufacture, or sale of illegal drugs and controlled substances is prohibited. The possession of paraphernalia associated with the use of illegal drugs or controlled substances is also prohibited. The misuse or unauthorized possession of controlled substances, including but not limited to, prescription medications, by a resident or visitor is also prohibited. The university may deem any prohibited substance or paraphernalia found in any area of an individual’s room or suite to be in the individual’s “possession.” Violations of D.C. law and university policy are considered serious and may result in fines, eviction of ones affinity group from housing and/or an individual’s expulsion from the University. Residents/Guests: I am aware that the organization is responsible for the conduct of all of our visitors and guests when present in our facility/designated affinity space and will reiterate this to all members, both Housing & Center for Student Engagement (CSE) Staff: I understand that as House Manager/Affinity Group Coordinator along with all members of the University community share the responsibility for reporting all violations of University policy when confronted with them. As House Manager/Affinity Group Lead, I along with all GW employees will not tolerate vulgarities, ridicule or abuse in the performance of, or as a result of, our duties. Therefore, I will communicate to my members, both live-on and off, as well as with our guests, the importance of respect and compliance with University policies; making special note that harassment of any University employee/student will result in appropriate student conduct action, possible housing agreement cancellation, and police involvement. MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A GREEK/AFFINITY RESIDENT Academic Success: I am aware that the University sees academic achievement as one of the top priorities of its students; therefore, creating communities that support academic achievement is a priority of the Center for Student Engagement residential staff. (My accommodations are more than just a place to eat and sleep, but a place that is a community of living AND learning.) To promote and xxxxxx this environment, the CSE’s Residence Life and Greek Life staff organizes events that promote academic and curricular growth and skill development. Drugs and Controlled Substances. Testing Policies and Procedures. All policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions concerning drug and alcohol testing shall be in compliance with applicable state and federal law. The City and the FOPE shall adhere to the provisions governing the Drug Testing and Substance Abuse Policy Program, which is incorporated herein by this reference. The City also reserves the right to require bargaining unit members holding the following positions to submit to random drug testingMaintenance Mechanics, Water/Wastewater, Crime Scene Investigators, Crime Technician Specialist, Evidence Technicians, Equipment Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, Traffic Safety Technicians, and Traffic Signal Technicians. For random testing purposes, drugs are defined as amphetamines; cannabinoids; cocaine; phencyclidine (PCP); hallucinogens; methaqualone; opiates; barbiturates; benzodiazepines; synthetic narcotics; designer drugs; metabolites of any of the substances listed herein; or any other drug deemed to be illegal by any federal, state, or local law or regulation at levels provided for by applicable law. A scientifically valid and impartial random selection procedure has been developed and implemented by the City. This procedure shall randomly select each affected member at least once each calendar year, but no more than four (4) times during the effective period of this agreement. The notification of selection and administration of testing shall occur just before, during, or just after the noticed member’s shift.
Drugs and Controlled Substances. The possession and consumption of any controlled substances is prohibited in the event area, and deemed distractive activity. This includes “legal” or “medicinal” marijuana. Persons in possession of unlawful substances or other drug related paraphernalia will be ejected, and subject to arrest. Tobacco/Electronic Smoking Devices: The Event shall be smoke-free. The use of tobacco or electronic smoking devices of any kind is prohibited. Smoking and vaping shall be confined to designated smoking areas outside the event.

  • Controlled Substances The use or possession of any controlled substance will result in immediate cancellation of the use agreement.

  • Controlled Substance Bodily injury" or "property damage" arising out of the use, sale, manufacture, delivery, transfer or possession by any person of a Controlled Substance as defined by the Federal Food and Drug Law at 21 U.S.C.A. Sections 811 and 812. Controlled Substances include but are not limited to cocaine, LSD, marijuana and all nar- cotic drugs. However, this exclusion does not apply to the legitimate use of prescription drugs by a person following the orders of a licensed physician. Exclusions A. Motor Vehicle Liability", B. "Water- craft Liability", C. "Aircraft Liability", D. "Hovercraft Liability" and E.4. "Insured's" Premises Not An "In- sured Location" do not apply to "bodily injury" to a "residence employee" arising out of and in the course of the "residence employee's" employment by an "insured".

  • Chemical Substances Supplier warrants that: (i) each chemical substance contained in Products is on the inventory of chemical substances compiled and published by the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act and (ii) all Material Safety Data Sheets required to be provided by Supplier for Products shall be provided to DXC prior to shipment of the Products and shall be complete and accurate.

  • TOXIC SUBSTANCES Each Contractor furnishing a toxic substance as defined by Section 875 of the Labor Law, shall provide such Authorized User with not less than two copies of a material safety data sheet, which sheet shall include for each such substance the information outlined in Section 876 of the Labor Law. Before any chemical product is used or applied on or in any building, a copy of the product label and Material Safety Data Sheet must be provided to and approved by the Authorized User agency representative.

  • Hazardous Substances The words "Hazardous Substances" mean materials that, because of their quantity, concentration or physical, chemical or infectious characteristics, may cause or pose a present or potential hazard to human health or the environment when improperly used, treated, stored, disposed of, generated, manufactured, transported or otherwise handled. The words "Hazardous Substances" are used in their very broadest sense and include without limitation any and all hazardous or toxic substances, materials or waste as defined by or listed under the Environmental Laws. The term "Hazardous Substances" also includes, without limitation, petroleum and petroleum by-products or any fraction thereof and asbestos.

  • Substance Abuse The dangers and costs that alcohol and other chemical abuses can create in the electrical contracting industry in terms of safety and productivity are significant. The parties to this Agreement resolve to combat chemical abuse in any form and agree that, to be effective, programs to eliminate substance abuse and impairment should contain a strong rehabilitation component. The local parties recognize that the implementation of a drug and alcohol policy and program must be subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Such policies and programs must also be administered in accordance with accepted scientific principles, and must incorporate procedural safeguards to ensure fairness in application and protection of legitimate interests of privacy and confidentiality. To provide a drug-free workforce for the Electrical Construction Industry, each IBEW local union and NECA chapter shall implement an area-wide Substance Abuse Testing Policy. The policy shall include minimum standards as required by the IBEW and NECA. Should any of the required minimum standards fail to comply with federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations, they shall be modified by the local union and chapter to meet the requirements of those laws and regulations.

  • Drugs and Alcohol The Pupil may be given the opportunity to provide a biological sample under medical supervision if involvement with drugs is suspected, or a sample of breath to test for alcohol consumed in breach of School rules or policy. A sample or test in these circumstances will not form part of the Pupil's permanent medical record.

  • Dangerous Materials Tenant shall not keep or have on the Premises any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable, or explosive character that might substantially increase the danger of fire on the Premises, or that might be considered hazardous by a responsible insurance company, unless the prior written consent of Landlord is obtained and proof of adequate insurance protection is provided by Tenant to Landlord.

  • Environmental Laws and Hazardous Materials The Company and its subsidiaries are in compliance with all foreign, federal, state and local rules, laws and regulations relating to the use, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous or toxic substances or waste and protection of health and safety or the environment which are applicable to their businesses (“Environmental Laws”). There has been no storage, generation, transportation, handling, treatment, disposal, discharge, emission, or other release of any kind of toxic or other wastes or other hazardous substances by, due to, or caused by the Company or any of its subsidiaries (or, to the Company’s Knowledge, any other entity for whose acts or omissions the Company or any of its subsidiaries is or may otherwise be liable) upon any of the property now or previously owned or leased by the Company or any of its subsidiaries, or upon any other property, in violation of any law, statute, ordinance, rule, regulation, order, judgment, decree or permit or which would, under any law, statute, ordinance, rule (including rule of common law), regulation, order, judgment, decree or permit, give rise to any liability; and there has been no disposal, discharge, emission or other release of any kind onto such property or into the environment surrounding such property of any toxic or other wastes or other hazardous substances with respect to which the Company or any of its subsidiaries has knowledge.

  • Hazardous Wastes In the event that the Mortgaged Property, related to a Mortgage Loan which is being considered for liquidation by foreclosure or the transfer of a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure, contains, and the Servicer has reason to believe that it contains, hazardous or regulated substances which may impose liability, for damages, remediation or otherwise, upon the owner of such Mortgaged Property pursuant to Federal, State or local law, the Servicer shall not, except with the express prior written approval of the Master Servicer, which approval makes specific reference to the presence of such hazardous or regulated substances, undertake or continue the process of foreclosure with respect to such Mortgaged Property.
