Employer’s requirements for the service Supply, deliver, install, commission and maintain dosing equipment suitable for chemical treatment process. Supply and monitor the coagulant and flocculant treatment process. Technical performance of the chemical treatment must maintain the Total organic carbon (TOC) percentage removal of greater than 35% and Turbidity (NTU) of <2 across the clarifiers. The turbidity on the outlet of the sand filters must be less than 0.2NTU. Both chemicals must be dosed separately. Both chemicals must not have negative impact on the demineralized plant resins Dosing Regime: • Both chemicals Coagulant and Flocculant dosing to be continuouslyMaterial Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of the chemicals to be provided with every delivery • Add a clearly visible MSDS label in front of the tanks • Certificate of analysis of the chemicals to be provided with every delivery. • Supply chemical dosing system /equipment. There should be two pumps for every chemical, one in service and one on standby. • Supply storage bulk tanks facilities including a suitable bund to contain any spillages and a level indicator for each tank. The bunds should be sized such that it can contain at least 110% of the volume of the chemical. • Split dosing of chemicals (Coagulant and Flocculant) • The system must be installed to ensure pot drop tests can be done both systems • The plant must fully labelled, indicating KKS numbers as well as the description of the equipment • Clearly display product name and summarized safety precautions on the storage tanks • Ensure continuity of treatment from start of contract up to end date as decided by Hendrina • Supply offloading facility/equipment for bulk chemical transfer, including a proper bund to contain spillages and proper supports for the transfer pipes. • Respond on breakdown as per notification • Be available 24hrs/day for any technical back-up assistance on emergencies that might be needed • Monitor the system and status performance of treatment (site visits) and submit weekly reports containing as a minimum: -stock levels of chemicals at all dosing stations -availability of dosing equipment: indicating which pumps are in service, dosing rate of each pump -condition of all equipment -consumption of chemicals at each dosing station -safety inspection -proposed delivery dates to top up chemical stocks • Supply remedial actions on findings of unsatisfactory performance • Perform Jar Test monthly, as monitoring control for the effectiveness of the ...
