ENROLMENT BOARD. 4.5.1 An Enrolment Board shall be established, at the date of settlement legislation, composed of: (a) five persons appointed by the Gwich’in including not less than one from each of the Gwich’in communities, whose names appear on the Official Voters List described in 28.3.1; and (b) during the initial enrolment period only, two persons appointed by the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development. 4.5.2 The Enrolment Board shall: (a) enroll persons who are eligible to be enrolled pursuant to 4.2, and for whom application for enrolment has been received pursuant to 4.3; (b) establish an Enrolment Register, and maintain therein a record of all enrolled persons; (c) maintain a record of those persons whose applications for enrolment were rejected; (d) publish the Enrolment Register at least once a year; (e) prepare an annual budget for the operation of the Enrolment Board and present it for review and approval to the Government of Canada; (f) prepare and provide application forms and information. ENROLMENT BOARD. 4.4.1 An Enrolment Board shall be established, at the date of settlement legislation, composed of: (a) seven persons appointed by the Sahtu Tribal Council, one from each of the aboriginal communities, whose names appear on either of the Official Voters Lists described in 3.1 of appendix D; and (b) during the initial enrolment period only, two persons appointed by the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development. 4.4.2 The Enrolment Board shall: (a) establish an Enrolment Register and enter therein the name of each person who is eligible to be enrolled pursuant to 4.2.1 or 4.2.2: (i) who is not a minor and who applies to the Board to be enrolled; or (ii) who is a minor and for whom the Board receives an application for enrolment by that person's parent or guardian; (b) maintain the Enrolment Register; (c) maintain a record of those persons whose applications for enrolment were rejected; (d) remove from the Enrolment Register the name of any person: (i) who is not a minor and who notifies the Board in writing that that person's name is to be removed from the Register; or (ii) who is a minor and whose parent or guardian notifies the Board in writing that that minor's name is to be removed from the Register. (e) publish the Enrolment Register at least once a year; (f) during the initial enrolment period, prepare an annual budget for the operation of the Enrolment Board and present it for review and approval to the Government of Canada; (g) prepare and provide application forms and information. Application forms shall provide that an applicant: (i) identify the aboriginal community with which the applicant wishes to be enrolled; and (ii) identify whether the applicant is applying to be enrolled pursuant to 4.2.1 or pursuant to (h) determine its own procedures and rules of evidence which shall be in accordance with principles of natural justice; (i) notify each applicant whose name has not been entered in the Enrolment Register of the reasons for the decision to refuse enrolment and of that applicant's right to appeal from any decision with respect to enrolment;‌‌ (j) prepare and provide to each participant proof of enrolment under this agreement; and (k) prior to enrolling a person who applies to be enrolled pursuant to 4.2.2, obtain the written consent of such person that he or she shall be deemed to be Sahtu Dene or Metis upon enrolment as provided in 4.2.3(b).
ENROLMENT BOARD. 3.3.1 The Final Agreement will provide that, immediately following the Effective Date, an Enrolment Board shall be established to carry out the functions described in this Chapter. 3.3.2 The Enrolment Board shall consist of five (5) members appointed by the Algonquins of Ontario. 3.3.3 The first appointments made to the Enrolment Board shall be made after consultation with Canada and Ontario.
ENROLMENT BOARD. The Enrolment Board comprises seven Sahtu mem- bers appointed by the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated (SSI) from their home communities and two mem- bers. appointed by the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development. The Board enrols those Sahtu Dene and Metis who are entitled to benefit from the Agreement. It also keeps a register of those enrolled, which it publishes annually. The Board has nine members: seven appointed by the SSI and two appointed by the Government of Canada. The seven SSI appointees are Xxxxxxxx XxXxxxxx of Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxx Xxxxx of Xxxxxx, Xxxxxxxx Doctor and Xxxxx Norwegian of Tulita, Xxxxx Xxxxxx and Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx of Fort Good Hope, and Xxxxx Xxxxxx of Xxxxxxxx Lake. The two Government of Canada appointees are Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx of Yellowknife and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx of Xxxxxx Xxxxx. The chairperson is Xxxxxxxx XxXxxxxx and the vice-chairperson is Xxxx Xxxxx. Xxxx Xxxxxxx of Xxxxxx is the enrolment co-ordinator and Xxxx Xxxxxx of Deline is the receptionist-clerk. in 1995-1996, the directors selected an Enrolment Board executive committee consisting of the chairper- son, the vice-chairperson and the enrolment co-ordinator. In 1995-1996, the Board held 10 meetings and the executive committee held three additional meetings. Board members approved or rejected enrolment applications submitted under Section 4.2 of the Agreement. As of February 29, 1996, the Board had enrolled 2,124 beneficiaries. The Board also reviewed monthly expenditures and activity reports, and developed work plans to fulfil its mandate. The Board published the 1995 Enrolment Registry listing 1,998 eligible beneficiaries under the Agreement. The registry was distributed to all land corporations in the Sahtu region, and copies were also circulated outside the region. The Board undertook an extensive advertising cam- paign within the Sahtu Settlement Area by placing advertisements in newspapers, distributing posters throughout the Sahtu region and offering a toll-free telephone line. There was a positive response to the advertisements and the free telephone line allowed applicants to acquire information readily as well as enabling Board members to maintain regular contact with the office. Enrolment kits were prepared provid- ing information, application forms and prepaid return envelopes for applicants, and allowed individuals to notify the Board of other potential beneficiaries.   • Selection Committee A. Each building site will appoint a selection committee for the TLS. The committee shall be comprised of equal numbers of teachers and administrators and at least one teacher will be appointed by the Des Moines Education Association. B. The committee will accept and review application for a TLS position and will make recommendations to the hiring administrator. In developing recommendations, the committee will utilize measures of teacher effectiveness and professional growth, consider the needs of the school district and review the performance and professional development of the applicants. Teachers who are selected must meet all of the qualification contained in the TLS grant and contained in the law.

  • Benefits Committee As per LOA#10, a benefits committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, shall convene upon request to address all matters that may arise in the operation of the OSSTF ELHT.

  • TRANSITION COMMITTEE A transition committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, will be established by January 31, 2016 to address all matters that may arise in the creation of the Trust.

  • Compensation Committee (A) The Compensation Committee shall be composed of not more than five (5) members who shall be selected by the Board of Directors from its own members who are not officers of the Company and who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board. (B) The Compensation Committee shall in general advise upon all matters of policy concerning the Company brought to its attention by the management and from time to time review the management of the Company, major organizational matters, including salaries and employee benefits and specifically shall administer the Executive Incentive Compensation Plan. (C) Meetings of the Compensation Committee may be called at any time by the Chairman of the Compensation Committee, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, or the President of the Company.

  • Board Committees The Director hereby agrees to sit in the relevant committees of the Board and to perform all of the duties, services and responsibilities necessary thereunder.

  • Evaluation Committee 16.2.1 The Association and the Board agree to establish a standing joint Evaluation Development Committee for the purpose of regularly reviewing the effectiveness of the policy, procedure and process, including the evaluation instrument, for the evaluation of teachers in the District and to provide recommendations to the Superintendent and Board by April 30.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • The Board (a) The Board may, subject to the provisions of paragraphs (a) and (b) of this Section 2.6 with respect to the number of and vacancies in the position of Director and the provisions of Section 3.3 hereof with respect to the election of Directors by Members, designate any person who shall agree to be bound by all of the terms of this Agreement as a Director. The names and mailing addresses of the Directors shall be set forth in the books and records of the Company. The number of Directors shall be fixed from time to time by a written instrument signed by, or by resolution approved at a duly constituted meeting by vote of, a majority of the Board, provided however that the number of Directors shall at all times be at least one and no more than ten as determined, from time to time, by the Directors pursuant to this Agreement. (b) Each Director shall serve as a Director for the duration of the term of the Company, unless his or her status as a Director shall be sooner terminated pursuant to Section 4.2 hereof. If any vacancy in the position of a Director occurs, the remaining Directors may appoint a person to serve in such capacity, provided that, at any time the Company is registered under the Company Act, such appointment is in accordance with the Company Act. The Directors may call a meeting of Members to fill any vacancy in the position of Director, and shall do so at any time the Company is registered under the Company Act and such meeting is required by the Company Act. (c) In the event that no Director remains to continue the business of the Company, the Investment Manager shall promptly call a meeting of the Members, to be held within 60 days after the date on which the last Director ceased to act in that capacity, for the purpose of determining whether to continue the business of the Company and, if the business shall be continued, of electing the required number of Directors to the Board. If the Members shall determine at such meeting not to continue the business of the Company or if the required number of Directors is not elected within 60 days after the date on which the last Director ceased to act in that capacity, then the Company shall be dissolved pursuant to Section 6.1 hereof and the assets of the Company shall be liquidated and distributed pursuant to Section 6.2 hereof.

  • School Board Any reference to School Board or District in this Agreement shall mean the District and/or its designated officials.

  • Management Board The Management Board is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Integrated Service. Its functions and terms of references are set out in Schedule 3 Part I to this Agreement.
