Evaluation Plan. At a pre-evaluation conference held in compliance with the timelines established in Section 14.6.1., the evaluatee(s) and the evaluator shall meet, discuss and mutually agree upon the evaluation plan, including constraints. Evaluatees and evaluators are encouraged to be creative and take risks when developing options. The evaluatee(s) and the evaluator will schedule evaluation updates throughout the assessment period. The agreed-upon evaluation plan may transcend the traditional school year cycle and the final evaluation conference may be extended by mutual agreement.

Evaluation Plan. After receiving the development grants, the will have a meeting with the Chair of the NRE Program to discuss the proposed development goals, revise when appropriate, and prepare a final set of goals for the duration of the three-year project. Self-assessment will include teaching, research and professional and institutional/departmental service. • Qualitative and quantitative performance indicators will be reviewed to establish whether the activities that were planned are actually being carried out (yes/no) and carried out effectively. This indicators include: Research: number of ongoing/completed projects, publications, number of graduate students supported, number of grants applied for/received, undergraduate student involvement. Teaching: teaching effectiveness based on student course/instructor evaluation feedback, new course development/progress if any. Professional development: conference attendance and presentation, involvement in technical program committees (as a reviewer, session organizer, professional society division officer), seminars at peer institutions and national laboratories. Service to the institute: serving on MS/PhD committees, involvement in service committees, outreach activities.
