Annual Sick Leave All full-time employees (i.e. hours per week) shall be entitled to twenty (20) days of sick leave per year. An employee joining the Board staff during the year shall be given current sick leave credits on the basis of days for each months' employment. The sick leave entitlement for part-time employees shall be according to time worked.
Sick Leave Policy It is the policy of the State of Ohio to not unreasonably deny sick leave to employees when requested. It is also the policy of the State to take corrective action for unauthorized use of sick leave and/or abuse of sick leave. It is further the policy of the State that when corrective and/or disciplinary action is taken, it will be applied progressively and consistently. It is the desire of the State of Ohio that when discipline is applied it will serve the purpose of correcting the performance of the employee.
Personal Sick Leave The following provisions will apply to all employees (other than casual employees) covered by this Agreement.
Leave Policies III.P.1. Return at Expiration of Leave Upon the expiration of any leave, other than a military leave, the employee shall be returned to the same class of position or to any position to which the employee had been eligible to transfer at the time the leave of absence was granted.
Sick Leave Donations Employees in the Unit as well as officers above the rank of sergeant and other non-bargaining unit employees in the Police Department may donate sick leave for the purpose of providing authorized sick leave to any Unit member who has exhausted all accrued annual, compensatory and sick leave. Sick leave means leave earned under Section A. of this Article. The procedures governing donation of sick leave followed in implementing the Sick Leave Donor Program established by the predecessor Agreement between the parties shall remain in effect, except as provided in Section P of this Article. Where the FOP has an established leave donation agreement with another bargaining unit within Xxxxxxxxxx County, the employer agrees to honor the agreement pursuant to the applicable contractual requirements of the bargaining unit and transfer sick leave as requested. Additional Sick Leave In unusual cases of prolonged illness the Township Committee may, by resolution, grant Sick Leave at one-half (½) rate of pay to an Employee over the time allowed and available for use in Section 2. hereinbefore set forth in this Article to a maximum of twenty-six
SICK LEAVE PROGRAM An employee may be eligible to receive donations of paid leave to be included in the employee's sick leave balance if s/he has suffered a catastrophic illness or injury which prevents the employee from being able to work or from being able to work his/her regularly scheduled number of hours. Catastrophic illness or injury is defined as a critical medical condition considered to be terminal, or a long-term major physical impairment or disability.
Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:
Vacation and Sick Leave Administration (a) for the purposes of administration of clauses 34.11 and 34.12, where an employee does not work the same number of hours each week, the normal workweek shall be the weekly average calculated on a monthly basis.
Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.
