Grievance Committee Structure. (a) A Grievance Committee, the number not to exceed two (2), who shall be regular employees of the Company, shall be elected by the Union in a manner determined by them, and the Company shall be kept informed of the personnel of this committee. (b) Shop Stewards, the number to be decided by the Union shall be elected by the Union in a manner determined by them and the Company shall be kept informed of the personnel of the Shop Xxxxxxx. (c) All grievances shall be taken up with the Company within ninety (90) days of the Grievor becoming aware of the alleged violation of the Agreement, on company time during working hours. (d) If a xxxxxxx or Chief Shop Xxxxxxx or Grievance Committee Member has to leave his job or department in connection with a grievance he shall first secure permission from the xxxxxxx before leaving the job or department. Such permission shall be granted as promptly as possible but shall in no case exceed one-half (1/2) hour. (e) It is agreed that the purpose of the grievance procedure will be to settle all grievances promptly, and that consultation at any step on the following procedure will take place quietly and speedily so that friction or animosity will be reduced to a minimum. (f) The Company recognizes the right of the “Grievance Committee” to process any grievance that is brought to their attention as outlined under the provisions of (c) above. (g) The Company will provide for a meeting room where bargaining unit personnel records can be stored and interviews can take place between Shop Stewards, Grievance Committee Members and Bargaining Unit Employees.

  • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration. The number of employees on the Grievance Committee shall be determined locally.

  • Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union Stewards. The Xxxxxxx shall assist any Employee, which the Xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and presenting her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

  • Safety Committee Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s.

  • COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE (1) Within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement, the Board shall appoint a Compliance Committee of at least three (3) directors, of which no more than one (1) shall be an employee or controlling shareholder of the Bank or any of its affiliates (as the term “affiliate” is defined in 12 U.S.C. § 371c(b)(1)), or a family member of any such person. Upon appointment, the names of the members of the Compliance Committee and, in the event of a change of the membership, the name of any new member shall be submitted in writing to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller. The Compliance Committee shall be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the Bank's adherence to the provisions of this Agreement. (2) The Compliance Committee shall meet at least monthly. (3) Within sixty (60) days of the date of this Agreement and quarterly thereafter, the Compliance Committee shall submit a written progress report to the Board setting forth in detail: (a) a description of the action needed to achieve full compliance with each Article of this Agreement; (b) actions taken to comply with each Article of this Agreement; and (c) the results and status of those actions. (4) The Board shall forward a copy of the Compliance Committee's report, with any additional comments by the Board, to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller within ten (10) days of receiving such report.
