Illness during Scheduled Vacation. If an employee suffers an illness or injury during her vacation leave and such illness or injury results in confinement under the care of a physician for a period of five (5) consecutive days or more, then the employee may claim the absence under her unused sick leave entitlement, and her vacation leave will be reinstated to her entitlement, or extended, subject to College approval.

Illness during Scheduled Vacation. If an employee becomes ill and is under the care of a duly-licensed physician during his/her vacation, his/her vacation will be rescheduled. In the event his/her incapacity continues through the year, he/she will be awarded payment in lieu of vacation. The Employer may require medical verification.
Illness during Scheduled Vacation. A worker who, during a scheduled vacation period, becomes ill or injured, shall be entitled to have the remaining time off coded as sick leave, under the following conditions: a. The worker otherwise qualifies for sick leave as provided by this Agreement and has sufficient sick leave to cover the period; and, b. The worker’s illness or injury is verified by a statement from an accredited medical doctor for each such day of illness for which leave is requested. If vacation time has been deducted for the period covered under this Section, and the use of sick leave has been approved, the time will be credited back and sick leave used in it’s place.
Illness during Scheduled Vacation. An employee who becomes ill while on vacation will be required to provide proof to Human Resources, by physician's statement, of the illness. If the employee desires, and has sufficient accumulated sick leave, the vacation leave may be converted to sick leave, upon notification to the Township Supervisor upon return from vacation.

  • Illness During Vacation (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only)

  • Bereavement During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.

  • Work During Vacation Should an employee who has commenced his scheduled vacation and agrees upon request by the Hospital to return to perform work during the vacation period, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his basic straight time rate for all hours so worked. To replace the originally scheduled days on which such work was performed, the employee will receive one (1) vacation lieu day off for each day on which he has so worked.

  • Holidays During Vacation If a paid holiday falls or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be granted an additional day's vacation with pay for each holiday in addition to his/her regular vacation time.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Holiday During Vacation If a holiday, named under Article 7 of this Agreement, falls within the vacation period of an employee, he shall be granted an additional day's pay in lieu of the holiday.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Time off during notice period During the period of notice of termination given by the employer, an employee shall be allowed up to one day's time off without loss of pay for the purpose of seeking other employment. This time off shall be taken at times that are convenient to the employee after consultation with the employer.
