Essential • An approved Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification to enable current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1). • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse • Proven and successful operating suite management skills and knowledge • Post-graduate qualifications in perioperative nursing • Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services or willingness to complete • Demonstrated broad understanding of professional and clinical standards (including ACORN), and issues in nursing and the health care system. • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and standards including the Nurses Act, Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act, OH&S, Australian Standards including those related to reusable medical devices (AS/NZ 4187:2014) • Proven ability to drive continuous quality improvement and manage risks. • Well-developed clinical, analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated computer literacy Desirable: • Nursing management experience in a rural health service
