Land Management. The Framework Agreement provides the Treaty One First Nations with all the powers of an owner in relation to its Treaty One Lands, except for control over title or the power to sell it. Treaty One First Nations can manage land and resources, as well as revenues from the land and resources, in accordance with the Treaty One Joint Reserve Land Codes and the Governance and Management Agreement. Interests in the Treaty One Lands held by third parties, or by Canada, will continue in effect according to their terms and conditions under the Treaty One Joint Reserve Land Codes. No new interests or licences may be acquired or granted except in accordance with the Treaty One Joint Reserve Land Codes.

Land Management. The LANDOWNERS may request, for the purpose of long-term protection of the easement area, authorization for timber harvest, periodic grazing or other management techniques identified in the applicable Conservation Plan. Authorizations will only be made if, upon a determination by the COUNTY, the proposed use is consistent with the long-term protection of the easement area. The COUNTY shall prescribe the allowable amount, method, timing, intensity and duration of the compatible use(s) in a revised Conservation Plan. The LANDOWNERS release the COUNTY from any claims of damages that may arise as a result of floods and flash floods on the premises. (b) Does the company ensure that it does not participate in or benefit from improper forced relocations, that due process was followed in accordance with the laws of the host country, and adequately compensates inhabitants respecting involuntary relocations?
(c) Does the company honor the land, passage, and usage rights of local or indigenous peoples on company-controlled land?
(d) Does the company consult with the local inhabitants and take measures to address and mitigate any disruptive effects that its operations may have on company land, the local community, and the natural resources in the area?
(e) To the extent that projects may affect access to water, does the company undertake to assure alternative access?

It is BLM policy to manage or conserve all known special plant and animal species not yet listed as threatened or endangered to minimize the need for listing those species by either Federal or state governments in the future.
