Leave for Union Conferences. 2.4.1 The President of the bargaining unit, or designee, shall be allowed to use three days each year, without loss of pay or leave credits, for attendance at conferences, meetings, and workshops of the Union or any of its affiliates. Use of such leave for attendance at conferences, meetings, workshops, etc. shall be scheduled with the approval of the Police Chief, or designee, at least two weeks in advance. The President of the bargaining unit, or designee, may at his/her option use paid time off such as vacation or personal leave for any additional days engaged in such activity.
Leave for Union Conferences. The President of the Operations and Maintenance Unit and/or employees designated to act on behalf of the President, shall be allowed release time, without loss of pay or leave credits, to attend conferences and conventions of affiliated Association(s) and organizations. Such leave shall not exceed twenty (20) workdays, in the aggregate, in any one fiscal year.
Leave for Union Conferences. The Union shall be granted three working days in the aggregate per calendar year for release time with pay for Union members designated by the Union to attend any convention, meeting, conference or workshop sponsored by the Union.
Leave for Union Conferences. 2.7.1 Only the President of Local 631 and members of the Local’s Executive Committee will be allowed release time to attend conferences or conventions of CSEA or AFSCME. Such leave shall not exceed six (6) workdays, in the aggregate, in any one year. Three (3) days shall be paid release time, up to 24 hours.
