Loss of Preparation Time. An employee, who during his/her preparation time is required to fill in for another employee at the request of his/her administrator or designee, shall be paid at his/her per diem rate.

Loss of Preparation Time. Teachers who are directed by the administration to cover a classroom during their preparation time shall be paid at the hourly rate of their contracted rate. Teachers shall be compensated for loss of preparation time while supervising their own class.

Loss of Preparation Time. If a certified staff member is asked by the District to give up a preparation time to substitute for another certified staff member, they shall be compensated at the individual's hourly rate. Time worked for purposes of computing the amount due for substitute pay shall be a minimum of one hour. A certified staff member may choose compensatory time in lieu of salary when asked to cover class(es) for a colleague. A certified staff member may choose compensatory time in lieu of salary when they volunteer to cover class(es) for a colleague.
