Loss of Preparation Time. An employee, who during his/her preparation time is required to fill in for another employee at the request of his/her administrator or designee, shall be paid at his/her per diem rate.

Time worked for purposes of computing the amount due for substitute pay shall be a minimum of one hour. A certified staff member may choose compensatory time in lieu of salary when asked to cover class(es) for a colleague.
