Late Starts. ‌ This Article applies to non-exempt regular employees. A regular employee who is tardy to work or upon returning from break or lunch shall be docked pay at the discretion of the Department Director or designee(s). Such docking shall be rounded to the nearest 15 minute increment. However, if the employee is tardy for a period of less than 7 ½ minutes, then no docking of pay shall occur. If the employee is tardy between 7 ½ and 15 minutes, then a full 15 minutes shall be docked. An employee and their department manager, upon mutual agreement, may make up late time by either coming in early, staying late, or shortening their lunch hour (lunch hours can only be shortened if employee is on a 1 hour a day lunch schedule) to make the time up. It is understood the time to be made up must be made up within the same 7 day work period the late time occurred, that no overtime will result from making up late time, and that there shall be no disruption to City services or operations. In addition, no provisions of this article are subject to the grievance procedure. Finally, an employee may be disciplined for continued late starts.

Late Starts. The number of one (1) hour late starts for the students during the school year shall be one (1) late start per month during September through May.

There will be no more than nine (9) Individual Implementation Days. These Individual Implementation Days may include preparation for report periods and/or planning for parent/teacher conferences. Buildings have flexibility to reschedule these days as needed.

Without limiting the partiesrights and obligations herein, the Agency may, at its sole discretion but after first consulting with the Physician Representative, change the start time of any OR Shift in order to allow Physicians to participate in weekly rounds (such reductions are each referred to as a “Late Start”) by: (a) providing written notice of any Late Start(s) to the Physician Representative at least six (6) months in advance (each, a “Late Start Notice”); and (b) describing in any Late Start Notice the OR Shift(s) affected, the new Late Start time(s) and the date(s) on which each Late Start will occur. 2. The Agency agrees to consider a written request from the Physician Representative for adjustment(s) to any Late Start(s) if such requests does not propose to alter the total number of hours of Scheduled Shifts, as amended. 3. The parties, and each of them, agree and acknowledge that: (a) the Physicians, and each of them, are not eligible to be paid or otherwise compensated for any Late Start(s), including but not limited to, the portion of any OR Shift(s) that are reduced as a result of a Late Start;

An employee may not substitute accrued compensatory time, vacation, holiday, or sick leave for the docked pay, nor may the employee utilize a shortened break period or lunch period.
Late Starts. Day shift employees are to report to work 2 hours after their regular start time and will be paid their regular rate for the missed work time. Evening shift employees are to report to work at their regularly schedule time. Employees who are punched in at the time school is called to start late may clock out and return at the late start report time or may continue to work without the interruption of other staff and students at their regular rate of pay. Essential Employees (employees needed to remove snow in order to open the building) must report at their regular start time, or earlier if approved, and will be paid time and a half for their work up to the 2 hour late start time for their shift.
