Lunch Periods – Breaks. A. Employees working six (6) or more hours a day shall be entitled to a sixty (60) minute uninterrupted and unpaid lunch period. B. Employees working six (6) or more hours a day shall be entitled to two (2) uninterrupted and paid fifteen (15) minute rest periods, to be scheduled with approval of the building administrator. C. Part-time employees working less than six hours may take a break with full-time employees as long as break time is made up.

Lunch Periods – Breaks. Any and all employees required or expected to be on duty (call) during their lunch period shall receive paid time for said period. All other employees are to receive an uninterrupted lunch period. All employees working three (3) consecutive hours shall receive a fifteen (15) minute paid “break” which shall be taken during the normal work shift. A specific fifteen (15) minute period shall be designated by the Supervisor.

  • Lunch Periods All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted, duty-free lunch period after the employee has been on duty for five (5) hours. The length of time for such lunch period shall be for no less than one-half (½) hour, and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at about the midpoint of each work shift. Such times shall be mutually agreed upon between employees and their immediate supervisor.

  • Lunch Period Employees who work five (5) hours or more shall be granted a thirty (30) minute, duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period, which may or may not be during the normal lunch hours.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Compensation for Breakage or Non-Commencement of Interest Periods Borrower shall compensate each Lender, as promptly as practicable after written request by such Lender (which request shall set forth the basis for requesting such amounts and shall be conclusive absent manifest error), for all reasonable losses, expenses and liabilities (including any interest paid or calculated to be due and payable by such Lender to lenders of funds borrowed by it to make or carry its Eurodollar Rate Loans and any loss, expense or liability sustained by such Lender in connection with the liquidation or deployment of such funds but excluding loss of anticipated profits) which such Lender may sustain: (i) if for any reason (other than a default by such Lender) a borrowing of any Eurodollar Rate Loan does not occur on a date specified therefor in a Funding Notice or a telephonic request for borrowing, or a conversion to or continuation of any Eurodollar Rate Loan does not occur on a date specified therefor in a Conversion/Continuation Notice or a telephonic request for conversion or continuation; (ii) if any prepayment or other principal payment of, or any conversion of, any of its Eurodollar Rate Loans occurs on a date prior to the last day of an Interest Period applicable to that Loan; or (iii) if any prepayment of any of its Eurodollar Rate Loans is not made on any date specified in a notice of prepayment given by Borrower.

  • REST AND LUNCH PERIODS 1. The present practices of agencies, departments or organizational units with respect to rest periods during the regular workday shall be continued, provided that each employee shall be allowed two (2) rest periods with pay of fifteen (15) minutes during each regular workday. Employees whose duties involve continuous operations where breaks cannot be scheduled shall take personal rest periods as schedules permit. 2. Present practices of agencies, departments or organizational units with respect to lunch periods during the regular workday shall be continued, provided that each employee shall be allowed at least one-half (½) hour for lunch without pay during each regular day or have the employee’s lunch period considered as time worked if the employee is required to work through the lunch period eats while performing the employee’s regular duties. 3. Ferry Service employees shall be entitled to have their one-half (½) hour lunch periods scheduled between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. When Ferry Service employees are required to remain on duty during that period, they shall be permitted to eat lunch on the job and the time shall be considered time worked for pay and other purposes. 4. When it is reasonably anticipated that overtime will extend for two (2) hours or more, an employee shall be allowed a rest period with pay of fifteen (15) minutes be- tween the end of a regular work schedule and the beginning of the overtime work. If overtime is to continue beyond four (4) hours, an employee shall be allowed a meal period with pay of at least one-half (½) hour after four (4) hours of overtime and an additional meal period with pay of at least one-half (½) hour after each additional four (4) hours of overtime providing the employee will be continuing to work thereafter. After completing four (4) hours of overtime, the employee shall be allowed a rest period with pay of fifteen

  • Duty-Free Lunch Period All teachers shall be entitled to a thirty-five (35) minute duty free lunch period.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration. Such rest period for pay purposes will be treated as time worked.

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour. 4.2 An employee unable to be relieved from work for a meal break shall be allowed to have a meal on duty and this period shall be regarded as working time. 4.3 Except where provided for in 4.2 an employee unable to take a meal after five hours’ duty shall be paid at overtime rates from the expiry of five hours until the time when a meal can be taken. 4.4 During the meal break or rest breaks prescribed above, free tea, coffee, milk and sugar shall be supplied by the employer. Where it is impractical to supply tea, coffee, milk and sugar free of charge, an allowance of $1.48 per week in lieu shall be paid. This allowance shall continue during all periods of leave except leave without pay. 4.5 Rest breaks of 10 minutes each for morning tea, afternoon tea or supper, where these occur during duty, shall be allowed as time worked.

  • Breaks 40.1 One 10-minute paid morning rest break and one 30 minute unpaid lunch break will be scheduled within 6 hours after work starts. 40.2 Where an Employee is required to work more than two hours overtime after the usual ceasing time of the day or shift they shall be allowed a 20 minute rest break paid at ordinary time rates prior to commencing overtime. Employees who take payment in lieu of stopping work for this break will be regarded as having worked a further 20 minutes and shall be paid at overtime rates. 40.3 An Employee working overtime on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday shall be allowed a 30-minute combined Rest Period/Meal/Crib Break after four hours work, such time to be paid at double ordinary time rates, with a further 20 minute Crib break to be paid at double ordinary time rates if the overtime continues past 8 hours worked. 40.4 In the case of overtime work being cancelled by the Employer at the end of the 4-hour minimum or any time thereafter, Employees will, in addition to the payments as prescribed, be paid for the 30 minutes combined Crib/Meal/Rest Period if not already taken. 40.5 If work proceeds beyond the 4 hours minimum then Employees will be paid for all time so worked.
