Make-Up Day Sample Clauses

Make-Up Day. Should the Contractor be unable to work forty (40) hours in any workweek due to weather or other conditions over which the Contractor has no control, the Contractor may, to the extent permitted by the applicable collective bargaining agreement, schedule a make- up day (Saturday for 5/8 schedule; Friday or Saturday for 4/10 schedule). All hours worked on a make-up to complete the forty (40) hours for the standard workweek shall be paid at the straight time rate of pay, if permitted by the State prevailed wage requirements. Any hours in excess of the standard workweek worked on Saturday shall be paid at time and one-half the straight time rate of pay. For make- up day work, the full crew must be scheduled. The make-up day may not be utilized on an individual employee basis, or to make up holidays. Make-up days are voluntary and should a crew member decline the make-up day work, the Contractor may select a member of another crew as a replacement, or allow the crew to work without the regular crew member. All make-up day work will be scheduled for a full work day. All overtime shall be in compliance with applicable State and Federal prevailed wage requirements.
Make-Up DayThe Employer shall be allowed to work a make-up day under the following conditions: 1) Must be the result of inclement weather or other conditions beyond the control of the Contractor: 2) Must be job site-specific; 3) Will not be mandatory and every employee will be given the opportunity to work or refuse to work without penalty; 4) The Union, Employer, and the employee shall sign off on the make-up day prior to make-up day; 5) Overtime rates will be paid to all employees if any trade assisting the plasterers on that make up day is paid overtime. Otherwise, in all respects, the make-up day shall be treated exactly as the day missed.
Make-Up Day. A make-up day may be used Monday thru Saturday when due to no fault of the Contractor and mutually agreed upon between the EMPLOYER and District Council 21. Wages will be paid at straight time rate. Prior notice must be given to District Council 21.
Make-Up Day. (a) Saturday will be considered the make-up day on eight (8) hour shifts and will be paid straight time if the Employee has not worked a forty (40) hour week prior to Saturday. Friday will be considered the make-up day on ten (10) hour shifts and will be paid straight time if the Employee has not worked a forty (40) hour week prior to Friday. If the Employee provides the Employer with written notice twenty-four (24) hours prior to a make-up day that he does not want to work the make-up day, then the Employee will not be penalized for not working the make- up day. Saturday will not be considered a straight time make up day on a four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedule. It is expressly understood that an Employee will not be punished for not working on a Saturday. (b) It is agreed and understood that Employees performing non-productive work such as curing concrete and de-watering will be paid straight time regardless of the day non-productive work is performed.
Make-Up Day. When a regular bid employee misses a scheduled work day due to a bona fide personal emergency, that day may be made up by that employee if work is available within that employee’s scheduled six
Make-Up Day. On out of town projects, if a shift is missed during the regular work week due to inclement weather or a major mechanical breakdown, and with a majority vote of the employees affected, the missed shift may be made up on the next rest day at the rate of pay of the missed shift.
