Management Incentive Pay. (Formerly Administrative Pay)
Management Incentive Pay. Full-time management employees shall receive management incentive pay at the rate of 80 hours per calendar year; such amount shall be paid equally at each pay period. Such pay is given in recognition of the unique nature of their position (e.g. projects, resolution of difficult issues). Department Heads shall receive management incentive pay at the rate of 120 hours per calendar year; such amount shall be paid equally at each pay period. Such pay is given in recognition of the unique nature of their position (e.g. program direction, policy determination). Department Heads shall be subject to an annual performance review by the City Manager. The City Manager, in their sole discretion, may award additional pay based on performance, pursuant to the provisions of the Personnel Rules or other granted authority.
Management Incentive Pay. For their normal duties and in recognition of the unique responsibilities of their jobs, employees who hold a permanent position in the job classification of Deputy Police Chief or Police Captain shall receive up to three hundred-twenty (320) hours of management incentive pay per fiscal year to be calculated at the regular rate of pay. The incentive pay shall be accrued on a quarterly basis, with one- quarter, or eighty (80) hours, of the total maximum allotment for the fiscal year accruing as of the first day of each quarter of the fiscal year. For their normal duties and in recognition of the unique responsibilities of their jobs, employees who hold a permanent position in the job classification of Police Lieutenant shall receive up to two hundred-sixty (260) hours of management incentive pay per fiscal year to be calculated at the regular rate of pay. The incentive pay shall be accrued on a quarterly basis, with one-quarter, or sixty-five
Management Incentive Pay. 1. It is understood certain unit employees may still be receiving “so-called” Management Incentive Pay, and they will continue to receive this pay if they were still receiving this pay as of June 17, 2014. This pay shall continue to be considered pensionable compensation.
2. It is further understood no other unit employee may receive the “so-called” Management Incentive Pay, as it was phased out July 8, 1996, and converted to the unit employee’s base pay.
Management Incentive Pay. Group employees assigned to non-shift administrative positions shall receive Management Incentive Pay at the rate of 7.42 hours per pay period, for a total of 193 hours each calendar year. Such time shall be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay. Upon implementation, eligible unit employees shall receive a prorated amount of Management Incentive pay for the period of January 1, 2023, up to the effective date of implementation.
Management Incentive Pay. The City shall pay Fire Division Chiefs 3.85 hours per pay period of additional compensation as management incentive pay. The management incentive pay for Fire Division Chiefs shall not exceed one hundred (100) hours per year. The City shall pay Fire Battalion Chiefs 1.55 hours per pay period of additional compensation as management incentive pay. The management incentive pay for Fire Battalion Chiefs shall not exceed forty (40) hours per year.

Management Incentive Pay. Effective upon full execution of this MOU, unit employees shall cease receiving 2% Management Incentive Pay. The 2% special compensation received as Management Incentive Pay shall be added to unit employees’ base monthly salary.
Management Incentive Pay. In recognition of the unique nature of the Alameda Police Managers Association member’s job responsibilities and special skills, knowledge and abilities that are required, are granted Management Incentive Pay (MIP). Employees shall receive an additional 4.55% calculated on their base annual salary earned equally throughout the year over 26 pay periods. The compensation is paid as earned for normally required duties performed during normal work hours. It is not compensation in lieu of overtime or in lieu of other benefits that are excluded from consideration under the statutes and regulations of the Public Employees’ Retirement System. Management Incentive Pay shall be administered as per 2 C.C.R. Sec 571 (a) (1).
Management Incentive Pay. Full-time Association employees shall receive management incentive pay at the rate of 80 hours per calendar year, which will be rolled into base salary effective January 1, 2023.
