Meal Allowance for Overtime Clause Samples

The Meal Allowance for Overtime clause provides employees with a financial allowance or reimbursement to cover meal expenses incurred when working beyond their regular hours. Typically, this clause specifies the conditions under which the allowance is granted, such as the minimum amount of overtime required or the types of meals covered, and may set a maximum reimbursement limit. Its core practical function is to compensate employees for additional costs associated with extended work hours, thereby supporting employee well-being and ensuring fairness when overtime is required.
Meal Allowance for Overtime. A meal allowance of Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be paid to any represented employee who works four (4) or more hours of unscheduled overtime. No second allowance will be paid if person works longer than four (4) hours. In order that overtime shall be designated as scheduled overtime, the employee must be advised by his/her supervisor of the overtime by no later than the conclusion of the normal work schedule of the last working day prior to the overtime shift.
Meal Allowance for Overtime. A meal allowance of fifteen Dollars ($15.00) shall be paid to any Association member for every four (4) hours of unscheduled overtime worked. In order that overtime shall be designated as scheduled overtime, the employee must be advised by his/her supervisor of the overtime by no later than the conclusion of the normal work schedule of the last working day prior to the overtime shift.
Meal Allowance for Overtime. (1) An employee who is required to work more than 2 hours overtime that follows immediately upon ordinary hours of work shall be supplied with a reasonable meal at the employer's expense, or be paid the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission's standard meal allowance provision (QIRC Standard) in lieu thereof. If such employee continues to work, an additional allowance equal to the QIRC Standard shall be paid for each completed 4 hours work after the first 2 hours. (2) An employee who is required to work overtime that does not follow immediately upon ordinary hours of work shall be provided with a reasonable meal at the employer's expense, or be paid the QIRC Standard in lieu thereof where the overtime goes beyond the fifth hour. If such employee continues to work, an additional meal allowance equal to the QIRC Standard shall be paid for each subsequent completed 4 hours work. (3) Provided, that in respect to subclauses (1) and (2) above, meal allowances shall not be payable if the employee has been given 12 hours prior notification of such resumption.
Meal Allowance for Overtime. 53.1 An Employee shall be paid an allowance (Meal Allowance A) as per Schedule D: (a) when an Employee works overtime in excess of one (1) hour but less than two (2) hours beyond the rostered shift finish time; or (b) when an Employee is recalled to duty outside of rostered ordinary hours for a period in excess of two (2) hours but less than four (4) hours. 53.2 An Employee shall be paid a further allowance (Meal Allowance B) as per Schedule D where such overtime work exceeds four (4) hours duration. 53.3 An Employee shall be paid an allowance (Meal Allowance C) as per Schedule D when required to work more than five (5) hours overtime on a Saturday or a Sunday, or more than five (5) hours by a shift worker on a rostered day off, and a further allowance (Meal Allowance D) as per Schedule D when required to work more than nine (9) hours on such day.
Meal Allowance for Overtime i. An employee will be supplied with an adequate meal where an employer has adequate cooking and dining facilities or be paid a meal allowance as per schedule B in addition to any overtime payment as follows: a. when required to work more than one hour after the usual finishing hour of work or, in the case of shiftworkers, when the overtime work on any shift exceeds one hour; and b. provided that where such overtime work exceeds four hours a second meal allowance will be paid. ii. A meal allowance will not apply when an employee could reasonably return home for a meal within the meal break. iii. On request, meal allowance will be paid on the same day as overtime is worked.
Meal Allowance for Overtime. 52.1 In the circumstances set out at sub-clauses 52.1(a) and 52.1(b) below, in addition to any overtime payment, a meal allowance as set out in Schedule D shall be paid as follows: (a) In addition to a shift: (i) an Employee when required to work more than one (1) hour beyond the rostered daily hours (Monday to Sunday inclusive), (allowance 1); (ii) an Employee when required to work more than five (5) hours beyond the rostered daily hours (Monday to Sunday inclusive), (allowance 2); (b) On a rostered day off: (i) an Employee when required to work more than five (5) hours overtime, (allowance 3); (ii) an Employee when required to work more than nine (9) hours overtime, (allowance 4).
Meal Allowance for Overtime. When overtime or where a recall to work exceeds two (2) hours, Epworth shall pay the Employee, in addition to any overtime payment, a meal allowance as set out in Schedule B.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.

  • Meal Allowance A shift worker who works a qualifying shift of eight hours or the rostered shift, whichever is the greater, and who is required to work more than one hour beyond the end of the shift (excluding any break for a meal) shall be paid a meal allowance of $7.95, or, at the option of the employer, be provided with a meal.

  • Annual Allowance The Corporation shall pay to the Executive, in cash, in a lump sum, on the Payment Date an amount equal to two times the annual allowance to which the Executive is entitled as of the date of the Date of Termination (or, if higher, as of immediately prior to the Effective Date).

  • Meal Allowances Employees assigned to be in travel status between the employee's temporary or permanent work station and a field assignment shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of meals including a reasonable gratuity. Employees must meet the following conditions to be eligible for meal reimbursement:

  • Uniform Allowance ‌ If the Employer requires an employee to supply and/or maintain specified clothing in place of a uniform which would otherwise be supplied and maintained for jobs involving the direct care of patients/residents, then a clothing/maintenance allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) per bi-weekly pay period shall be paid. This allowance does not apply to non-patient/non-resident areas.
