Meal Breaks and Rest Breaks During Regular Working Hours. Employees shall be granted an unpaid meal break and shall be provided paid ten (10) minute rest period(s) as follows: - shifts under three (3) hours – no meal break or rest period; - shifts of three (3) to five (5) hours – one (1) ten (10) minute rest period; - shifts of over five (5) but less than normal full time hours – one (1) ten (10) minute rest period and one (1) meal break; - shifts of normal full time hours – two (2) ten (10) minute rest periods and one (1) meal break. Where rest periods are to be provided, they are normally scheduled so that there is one (1) during the work period prior to the meal break and one (1) during the work period after the meal break. Rest periods shall be included as part of the hours worked. The times when the rest periods and meal breaks are to be taken shall be approved by the Supervisor.

During Overtime Upon completion of two (2) continuous hours of overtime work immediately preceding or immediately following an Employee's regular shift, the Employee becomes entitled to a paid meal break of a one-half hour which the Municipality may permit to be started at any time within the two (2) hour period but, except in an emergency, no later than the end of the two (2) hours. During Call-outs and Overtime Upon completion of three and one-half continuous hours of call-out work or overtime work, occurring at any time other than immediately preceding or immediately following an Employee's regular shift, an Employee becomes entitled to a paid meal break of a one-half hour which the Municipality may permit to be started at any time within the three and one-half hour period but, except in an emergency, no later than the end of the three and one-half hours. During Overtime, Call-outs and Overtime Upon the completion of each successive three and one-half continuous hours of call-out work or overtime work, the Employee shall be given another paid meal-break of one-half hour which, except in an emergency, shall be taken at the end of each three and one-half hour work period. For each meal break given to an Employee under Sub-sections or the Employee shall be paid the one-half (112) hour at double the Employee's regular rate of pay. Where by reason of an emergency it is not feasible to give a meal break at the designated time under or it shall be taken as soon as practicable and in addition the Municipality shall be responsible for supplying a reasonable form of nourishment during the course of the work at such time as the Employee would have been otherwise ...

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour. 4.2 An employee unable to be relieved from work for a meal break shall be allowed to have a meal on duty and this period shall be regarded as working time. 4.3 Except where provided for in 4.2 an employee unable to take a meal after five hours’ duty shall be paid at overtime rates from the expiry of five hours until the time when a meal can be taken. 4.4 During the meal break or rest breaks prescribed above, free tea, coffee, milk and sugar shall be supplied by the employer. Where it is impractical to supply tea, coffee, milk and sugar free of charge, an allowance of $1.48 per week in lieu shall be paid. This allowance shall continue during all periods of leave except leave without pay. 4.5 Rest breaks of 10 minutes each for morning tea, afternoon tea or supper, where these occur during duty, shall be allowed as time worked.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except for interruptions for lunch periods.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration. Such rest period for pay purposes will be treated as time worked.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Partial Disposal During Term of Service Agreement Throughout the Term of the Service Agreement, LEA may request partial disposal of Student Data obtained under the Service Agreement that is no longer needed. Partial disposal of data shall be subject to LEA’s request to transfer data to a separate account, pursuant to Article II, section 3, above.

  • Retention Period The Engineer shall maintain all books, documents, papers, accounting records and other evidence pertaining to costs incurred and services provided (hereinafter called the Records). The Engineer shall make the records available at its office during the contract period and for seven (7) years from the date of final payment under this contract, until completion of all audits, or until pending litigation has been completely and fully resolved, whichever occurs last.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Probation Period It is understood and agreed that the first ninety days of employment shall constitute a probationary period during which period the Employer may, in its absolute discretion, terminate the Employee's employment, for any reason without notice or cause.

  • Rest Breaks Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break during each four (4) hours worked. It is the Employer's intention to provide uninterrupted rest breaks.
