Meal Interval. 33.1 A meal interval of not more than 60 minutes shall be allowed during each rostered period of duty (Monday to Friday inclusive) to Employees other than those working shift duty which shall not be counted as time worked. 33.2 A meal interval of not more than 30 minutes per shift shall be allowed whenever possible for Employees rostered for shift duty and shall be counted as time worked whether or not the meal interval is taken.

Meal Interval. An Employer shall not require or permit an Employee to work continuously for more than five hours, without a meal interval, of not less than 30 minutes, during which interval, such Employee shall not be required or permitted to perform any work and such interval shall not form part of the ordinary hours of work or overtime.
Meal Interval a) An unpaid meal break of not less than thirty minutes shall be granted between the hours of 11.30am and 1.30pm. b) An employee shall not be required to work for more than five hours without a meal break.

(b) An Employee may be required to change the meal break to suit the requirements of the employer or client provided that an Employee who has not completed the meal break after six (6) hours from the normal starting time on any day to suit the requirements of the employer or the client shall be paid at the appropriate penalty rates thereafter until a meal break is allowed. (c) An Employee required to work 9.5 hours in a single day shall be paid $16 meal allowance and be allowed a twenty minute meal break as soon as is practicable after the 9.5 hours have been worked.

An employee shall cease work for a meal interval of thirty (30) minutes on all working days, except Saturday and Sunday, between the hours of 11:30 am. and 1:00 p.m., inclusive. (b) An employee may be required to change the meal break to suit the requirements of the Company or client provided that an employee who has not completed the meal break after six (6) hours from the normal starting time on any day to suit the requirements of the Company or the client shall be paid at the appropriate penalty rates thereafter until a meal break is allowed. (c) All work that is undertaken through the lunch break must be approved by the Company after consultation with the Company’s Principal. If the principal approves work to be undertaken through the lunch break the employee will receive all entitlements as outlined in this agreement. Any unapproved work performed through the lunch will not be paid. All approved claims for work through lunch breaks must be signed by the person that approved the work on the day of approval.

Meal Interval. 20.1.1 Employees (other than shift workers) shall be allowed an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes at a time agreed between the Company and employees at an establishment or section of an establishment as being suitable for the work being undertaken at the establishment. 20.1.2 Such meal break shall not be required to be taken earlier than three hours or later than five hours after commencing work; and shall include walking and changing time. 20.1.3 Meal Breaks shall be staggered to suit the operational requirements of the plant. If an employee is required to work during their meal break they shall be paid overtime rates from such meal break until the meal break is allowed. 20.1.4 Not withstanding anything elsewhere contained in this clause, shift workers shall be allowed a meal/crib break of not less than forty (40) minutes to be taken in two (2) x twenty (20) minute breaks which shall be counted as time worked and paid accordingly.

A shift worker (other than on continuous shift work "as defined" by this Agreement) shall be granted a meal interval of not less than 20 minutes, which shall be counted as time worked, and an additional five (5) minutes of which will be counted as unpaid (totalling 25 minutes), with such a meal interval to be taken not less than three (3) hours nor more than five (5) hours after commencing work.
Meal Interval. 8.13.1. Subject to the stipulations of this clause, Employees who work continuously for more than five (5) hours per day must have a meal interval of at least thirty (30) continuous minutes. 8.13.2. Employees may be required or permitted to perform duties during a meal interval that cannot be left unattended, and which cannot be performed by another Employee. In such instancesand in instances where an Employee has been requested to be available for work during a meal interval, the employee will be paid accordingly. 8.13.3. Where meal intervals are rostered, such meal intervals shall be included in the roster for the next week and will be after completion of five (5) consecutive hours of work. If scheduled between the 5th and 7th hour after commencement of work, the meal break will not exceedthirty (30) minutes. 8.13.4. Where it is expected of an Employee to work or to be available for work during an Employee’s meal interval, the meal interval will form part of the ordinary hours of work and an employee shall be entitled to payment (See Clause 8.2.6).
