MEETINGS AND TRAVEL. The PNNL Principal Investigator and one other engineer shall visit the NRC Headquarters in Rockville, MD and present the overall research outcome to the staff and share in technical discussions. Any suggestions from the staff, as appropriate, may be considered for the final report by the PI. No other domestic or foreign travel is permitted under the initial scoping study.

MEETINGS AND TRAVEL. ANL shall carry out domestic travel. The travel frequency is approximately 1-2 times a year. The purpose is for project meetings and/or training to NRC Headquarters. The number of contactor staff will be 2-3 persons for 3-5 days. If the travel requires training the number of staff may increase to 3-4 persons. ANL shall develop a trip report and submit it with the Monthly Letter Status Report for that month. Foreign travel for the DOE laboratory personnel requires a 60-day lead time for NRC approval. For prior approval of foreign travel, the DOE laboratory shall submit an NRC Form 445, “Request for Approval of Official Foreign Travel.” NRC Form 445 is available in the MD 11.7 Documents library and on the NRC Web site at: xxxx://xxx.xxx.xxx/reading-rm/doc-collections/forms/. Foreign travel is approved by the NRC Executive Director for Operations (EDO). All travel requires written Government approval from the CO, unless otherwise delegated to the COR.
MEETINGS AND TRAVEL. The contractor shall present the technical progress of the project at NRC headquarters on annual basis, and make additional trips to NRC related contractor meetings and professional technical symposia as requested by the NRC Project Manager. The contractor shall organize and conduct a "hands-on" field workshop at the field site to NRC staff and Agreement States staff (as invited by the NRC) during the last year of the contract. The contractor shall also provide a technology transfer seminar to the NRC Staff and Agreement States staff at the completion of the work at NRC Headquarters. Any additional domestic travel to be charged against project funds requires prior approval by the NRC Project Officer. All foreign travel related to and/or funded by the project must be approved in writing by the NRC Project Officer. It is anticipated that two annual visits to NRC Headquarters and one annual trip to a technical workshop (usually held in Las Vegas or other Western U.S. city location) will be taken.

For cost estimating purposes, assume that thei be twelve one-person, one-week trips to NRC headquarters per year and four one-person, one-week site visit trips(including one of each to eastern, northern, western, and southern parts of United States) per year.
MEETINGS AND TRAVEL. Upon award of the contract, an initial meeting will be held at NRC with the contractor to discuss the work to be provided under the contract. The principal investigator shall meet with the NRC cognizant staff after completion of each task and provide the technical progress of such tasks. A maximum of two additional related contract meetings may be coordinated by the NRC Project Manager. The contractor's principal investigator shall participate in the inception meeting (approximately 1 day). The meeting(s) will be scheduled as directed by the NRC Project Manager. One individual shall be traveling for each meeting for a period of one day. An exception may be a meeting at headquarters to demonstrate the code. All travel above by the contractor shall be approved first by the NRC project manager.
