MEMBERSHIP DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. 5.1 The Association and the District agree to comply with the provisions of SB1960 for the term of this agreement.
5.2 Any employee who is a member of the Association or who has applied for membership may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of membership dues to the Association. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked in writing by the employee. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth (1/10) of such annual dues from the regular salary check of the employee each month for (10) months without cost to the Association or individual. Deductions for employees who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated to complete payments by the end of the year.
5.3 With respect to all sums deducted by the District pursuant to authorization of the employee, the District agrees promptly to remit such monies to the California School Employees Association.
5.4 By October 30 of each year, the District shall furnish to the Association a list of those employees for whom the Association is the bargaining representative, showing payroll deduction of membership dues.
5.5 Upon appropriate written authorization from the classified employee, the District shall deduct from the salary of the employee, without cost to the Association or the individual, and make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit union programs, savings bonds, charitable donations, or any other plans or programs jointly approved by the Association and the District.
5.6 The Association agrees to furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this Article.
5.7 The District shall be held harmless from any suit, claim or demand made upon as a result of deductions not deducted properly because of administrative error.
MEMBERSHIP DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. 21 Upon appropriate written authorization from the bargaining unit employee, the District shall deduct 22 from the salary of the bargaining unit employee and make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit 23 union, savings bonds, charitable donation, or any other plans or programs jointly approved by the 24 Association and the District. 25 With respect to all sums deducted, the District agrees to remit such funds, and a list of the 27 following the deductions.

Any bargaining unit member who is a member of the Rosamond Teachers Association, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the Exclusive Representative an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments in the Exclusive Representative. Pursuant to such authorization and as confirmed in a written notification from the Exclusive Representative, the District shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular salary warrant of the teacher each month for ten months. Deductions for bargaining unit members who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated to complete payments by the end of the school year.
X. Xxxxxxxxxx from the Exclusive Representative will be in accordance with the Exclusive Representative’s bylaws and requirements. A bargaining unit member shall direct any inquiries regarding withdrawal from membership to the Exclusive Representative. The Exclusive Representative is responsible for notifying the District in writing of a withdrawal of dues deduction by any bargaining unit employee.
C. The Association agrees to furnish the District with a list of members who have provided the Association with written authorization for payroll deduction, so the District is able to fulfill the provisions of this Article.
D. The Association agrees to pay to the District all legal fees and legal costs incurred by the District in defending against any court actions and/or administrative action before the Public Employment Relations Board challenging the legality or constitutionality of the membership dues provisions of this Agreement or implementation thereof, provided that the Association shall have the exclusive right to decide and to determine whether any such action shall be compromised, resisted, defended, tried, or appealed. The District will not discontinue the deduction of membership dues of a unit member without written authorization from the Association President or designee.
E. The Association shall indemnify and hold harmless the District, its officers, agents, and employees from any award or compromise of damages or liability arising out of any court action and/or administrative action before the Public Employment Relations Board challenging the legality or constitutionality of the membership dues provisions of this Article (or their implementation), provided that the Association shall have the exclusive right to decide and to de...
MEMBERSHIP DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. The County shall deduct membership dues from the salaries of Union members, who individually and voluntarily authorize such deductions, by signing the appropriate payroll deduction authorization. PEOPLE (Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality) deductions shall be remitted by separate check unless otherwise indicated.
