Military Training or Emergency Duty Leave. Employees required to perform active duty for training or to perform emergency duty in any reserve component of the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard shall be granted a leave of absence for the period of such training or emergency duty upon request and the presentation of proper documentation from the employee's Commanding Officer. The provisions of this Section do not apply to an employee's initial period of active duty for training.

Military Training or Emergency Duty Leave. Employees required to perform active duty in any reserve component of the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard shall be granted a leave of absence without pay or benefits for the period of such training or emergency duty upon request and the presentation of proper documentation from the employee’s Commanding Officer. Employees who leave the employment of the Employer to enter active military service in any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard shall be entitled to reemployment rights in accordance with the Federal and State statutes governing such reemployment rights in effect at the time the individual seeks reemployment with the Employer. Notice of intent to enter into such active service and the scheduled date of departure shall be given to the Employer in writing as soon as the employee is notified of acceptance and departure dates. Individuals reemployed in accordance with such Federal and State statutes shall be entitled to the benefits set forth in this Agreement, provided they satisfy the eligibility requirements established under this Agreement.
Military Training or Emergency Duty Leave. Employees required to perform active duty for training in any reserve component of the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard shall be granted a leave of absence without pay or benefits for the period of such training or emergency duty upon request and the presentation of proper documentation from the employee's commanding officer. In instances where an employee is required to perform emergency duty, the Employer will pay the difference between the employee's regularly scheduled hours and the amount the employee receives from the military service and continue payment of health insurance benefits for a period of up to thirty (30) consecutive days. The provisions of this section do not apply to an employee's initial period of active duty for training.

  • Military Training Leave An employee who has served with the State of Oregon or its counties, municipalities or other political subdivisions for six (6) months or more immediately preceding an application for military leave, and who is a member of the National Guard or of any reserve components of the armed forces of the United States is entitled to a leave of absence with pay for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) calendar days or eleven (11) workdays in any training year (October 1 through September 30). If the training time for which the employee is called to active duty is longer than fifteen (15) calendar days, the employee may be paid for the first fifteen (15) days only if such time is served for the purpose of discharging an obligation of annual active duty for training in the military reserve or National Guard.

  • Military Caregiver Leave The employer shall grant an employee who is a family member of a covered service member an unpaid leave of up to twenty-six (26) weeks (inclusive of the twelve (12) weeks granted under 1. above) in a single twelve (12) month period to care for the covered service member who has a serious illness or injury incurred in the line of duty on active duty.

  • Military Service Leave Military unpaid leaves of absence shall be granted in accordance with applicable laws. The reinstatement rights of any employee who enters the military service of the United States by reason of an act of law enacted by the Congress of the United States, or who may voluntarily enlist during the effective period of such law, shall be determined in accordance with the provision of the law granting such rights.

  • Military Service We do not Cover an illness, treatment or medical condition due to service in the Armed Forces or auxiliary units.

  • Emergency Duty (1) This clause applies if: (a) an employee is directed to attend for duty to meet an emergency; and (b) the employee would not ordinarily have been on duty at that time; and (c) the employee was not given notice of the direction before ceasing ordinary duty; and (d) the employee is not at a classification above the salary barrier or an AGS fee earner. (2) However, the Secretary may decide that this clause applies to an employee at a classification above the salary barrier (unless they are an AGS fee earner). (3) For the time on duty, the employee is to be paid: (a) at the rate of double time; and (b) for at least 2 hours. (4) The time on duty is taken to include time necessarily spent in travelling to and from duty. (5) This clause does not apply if the employee is subject to a restriction direction. (6) Clause 3.23 (rest relief after overtime) does not apply to overtime worked in circumstances covered by this clause unless the actual time worked is at least 3 hours for each attendance.

  • Military Family Leave Employees may use vacation leave for leave as required by the Military Family Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 19.13.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. An educator will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the educator which would significantly impair teaching service. Personal emergency leave may not be used for illness or injury, or illness or injury in the immediate family. Deductions from the gross pay of an educator for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken. 2. An educator may be granted up to five (5) days leave without pay for business or personal reasons having unusual circumstances.

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.

  • FMLA “FMLA” shall mean the Family Medical Leave Act of 1993, as amended.
