Normal Professional Workload. The professional workload shall consist of 30 credit hours or their equivalent per year in addition to miscellaneous assignments set forth below. The professional workload may be assigned for any combination of day or night, on or off campus. Should a Professional Employee fail to achieve the normal professional workload, the administration may reassign said Professional Employee not to exceed 30 credit hours, within the scope of the following categories: 1. additional classes and/or seminars; 2. curriculum development or review; 3. others as initially agreed upon by both parties. Class assignments shall be made after communicating with the Professional Employees involved. Class assignments will be given to the Professional Employee within a reasonable amount of time after known to the Administration in order to facilitate preparation and the ordering of books and materials. Professional Employees whose normal workload includes supplemental work or credit hour equivalencies will be returned to the same contract classification & FTE immediately preceding any such supplemental and/or credit hour equivalency assignment if they relinquish the assignment or the assignment is withdrawn by the administration. The Association president will be assigned a reduced normal workload of three (3) credit hours per semester during his/her period in office.

Normal Professional Workload. The normal instructor workload for full-time Professional Employees shall consist of fifteen (15) credit hours or twenty (20) contact hours per week per semester, or thirty (30) credit hours or their equivalent per year. The normal instructor workload for regular part- time Professional Employees shall consist of at least nine-fourteen (9-14) credit hours per semester. Instructional credit hours for fall and spring semester of the academic year are the only basis for determining a regular part-time Professional Employee. Teaching with an alternative method of delivery will continue to be voluntary. Priority for hiring instructors for all online and alternative methods of course delivery will first be offered to qualified on-campus instructors before bringing in non-tenured instructors from off- campus.
Normal Professional Workload. The professional workl o a d shall consist of 30 credit hours of teaching (or the equivalent as determined by the Administration) per academic year. In order to make load, Professional Employees will be given the opportunity to teach classes prior to adjunct instructors (defined as a non-Professional Employee who is employed to teach using a supplemental contract). In addition, other assigned duties may include faculty workshops, in-service days, assistance with enrollment, student registration, student academic advisement, recruitment, committee assignments, outcomes assessment duties, and sponsoring activities related to the Professional Employee's teaching assignments. Committee assignments shall be limited to two standing committees per academic year and ad hoc committees as needed. Standing Committee assignments will be announced on or before the fall semester in-service meeting and are subject to change due to vacancies or reorganization. The standing committee chairs shall be announced during the spring semester prior to the effective date of assignment.
Normal Professional Workload. The normal professional workload shall consist of fifteen (15) credit hours or their equivalent per semester, or thirty (30) credit hours or their equivalent per year for the contract year. No reduction in base contract salaries will be made for Professional Employees who, because of administrative assignment or canceled classes, teach fewer than thirty (30) credit hours per year, exclusive of summer school. In order to offset deficits, Professional Employees will be assigned to teach eight week and/or interim courses or assigned other duties by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

  • Professional Improvement Leave A teacher may be granted leave to be used for the teacher's professional improvement. Professional improvement days may be approved by the superintendent and used for the purpose of: 1. Visitation to view other instructional techniques or programs. 2. Conferences, workshops, or seminars conducted by colleges, universities, or vocational schools. The teacher planning to use a professional improvement day shall notify the principal at least one week in advance of the proposed absence. The teacher shall be required to file a written report with the principal within one (1) week of attendance at such event. Also, the teacher may/shall be requested to return with materials and/or information to be shared with other teachers. The expense of attending such visitation, conference, workshop, or seminar will be paid by the Board when the proper reimbursement applications are sent to the district office. In cases where attendance at a convention, workshop, seminar, or other educational activity is deemed to be of value only to the individual teacher, leave may be granted for attendance with either no expenses or limited expenses being underwritten by the district. In these cases, no written or verbal reports will be required.

  • Consultation Services The company hereby employs the consultant to perform the following services in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement: The consultant will consult with the officers and employees of the company concerning matters relating to the management and organization of the company, their financial policies, the terms and conditions of employment, and generally any matter arising out of the business affairs of the company.

  • Consulting Services Except as ADB may otherwise agree, and except as set forth in the paragraph below, the Borrower shall apply quality- and cost-based selection for selecting and engaging Consulting Services.
